Used as test benches for wired connections ASUS laptop K42JC (Intel Pentium 6100, 2 GB RAM, HDD WDC WD3200BEVT, Gigabit Ethernet JMicron JMC250) and a desktop machine (AMD Athlon64 X2 4800+, 4 GB RAM, WDC WD3200AAKS, Gigabit Ethernet Realtek RTL8168B). For Wi-Fi testing, we used Trendnet TEW-664UB (802.11n @ 300 Mbps, 2.4 / 5 GHz) and ASUS USB-N13 (802.11n @ 300 Mbps, 2.4 / 5 GHz) adapters. Wireless network tested in both 802.11 b/g/n mixed mode and 802.11 n only mode, and the traffic was encrypted using the WPA2-PSK TKIP/AES algorithm. All devices were in close proximity to each other.
