Everything ;) design, price, camera, speed, battery, I see that they write that it’s not enough for a day, I can’t imagine WHAT you need to do with your phone so that it’s not enough - I charge it 2 times a week.

Screen, hardware, good as a phone (I can hear you and me perfectly), price, battery, performance.

The phone is super. And the sound quality is 5+. Everything flies. The assembly is high-quality

    2 years ago 0

I've been using it for 1.5 years. Calls, applications, simple games, battery - everything is excellent.

design, screen, performance, camera, battery life!

Low price(I bought it on Aliexpress for $100) - good screen- fast - strong - has everything a modern budget smartphone should have and even more.

    2 years ago 0

Bright screen, rich colors, powerful enough processor, 2000 mAh battery, all the games I installed ran without lags! tests pass perfectly with the same Galaxy with 3 mini 7068, with Lenova I scored 7758, the build quality is amazing, the back cover does not creak as part of the whole body, even when I inserted a second SIM card I thought I would break all my nails, the external speaker is powerful and without distortion!

The smartphone, I’ll say right away, is very good, but not ideal. The phone is large, thin, quite light and fits well in the hand without slipping out. Its main advantages are the cool display and build quality. Another significant plus is the dual-core processor, which, I think, suits not only me. The battery is good, 2000 milliamps, when I use it, it lasts for a day - I put it on charge in the evening. The device is very beautiful with its ribbed back cover, which is very difficult to scratch and does not show fingerprints. It also has a beautiful inscription “lenovo” and, below, “SMART MUSIC”. There is also a five-megapixel camera with autofocus on the back, which takes very beautiful and high-quality pictures in a well-lit room or outdoors. I'm very pleased with her

    2 years ago 0

2Sim -Good screen -high-quality and loud sound in external speakers - really surprised me. -Wifi -5MP camera with autofocus (enough for shooting documents (text)) -Android (for toys) -nice body materials.

I don’t even know what’s missing, except for flashes. It’s already October 2015. 3g is constantly dying, it started to freeze so that only disconnecting the battery helps. When making calls outside in cloudy weather, the screen goes crazy, it is impossible to press the call mute button. lack of memory and RAM, the feeling that this device was designed to last for six months. because in 6 months. he started to piss me off.

    2 years ago 0

everything was justified, but of course the parameters were outdated, 512 M OP at the time of purchase (3 years ago) was ok, now give everyone 4G;) he didn’t know about it yet, browsers crash on heavy sites, yes, he didn’t know of any other problems, but For me this is not a problem either;)

    2 years ago 0

The volume and power buttons are thin, recessed, not ergonomically designed and difficult to feel. It glitched once - it was turned on, but the calls did not go through (the network showed) - it was dangerous, but it happened once - so far not a disease, I attribute it to the fact that 3G is not available in the whole city and it caught a glitch when switching.

    2 years ago 0

The menu is a little complicated, but it’s not catastrophic

    2 years ago 0

The only downside is the lack of RAM, resulting in inconvenient Internet surfing. If the applications VKontakte, Odnoklassniki, Skype, YouTube, etc. work without problems. Using VKontakte, etc. through a browser is not ice. The same problem applies to viewing regular news through a browser. After using it for a short time, the browser closes. In especially severe cases, the phone freezes and only a reboot helps. The problem with the browser is solved by flashing it to custom. 250 - 300 MB of RAM is freed.

    2 years ago 0

I didn’t find it for myself!!!

    2 years ago 0

    No flash
    -512MB RAM
But against the backdrop of the price, I think all the disadvantages fade.

    2 years ago 0

Well, to be honest, I don’t even know what to write here, but maybe it’s the fact that there is no flashlight and front camera

    2 years ago 0

The lack of a front camera is a big minus for me. I really love chatting on Skype, from my device, and taking pictures with friends.
Another disadvantage is the RAM, which is only 512 MB. And even then it’s always jammed with something unknown.
Not everyone can pull heavy toys. And even if it works, it’s buggy.
And the smartphone itself often slows down.
My phone came with good firmware and I didn’t notice any extra, unnecessary programs, although I had heard that initially a lot of unnecessary stuff was crammed onto the device. I avoided it, so to speak.
I also noticed an unpleasant thing: I wake up in the morning, take the phone off the charger (it showed 100% charge) and it immediately freezes; I restart the smartphone and it shows 90% charge, although I didn’t have time to use the device.
I also notice when I stay

The battery, although 2000 mAh, lasts for a day and a half (I understand that 2000 is not so much, but still it is not 1500 like some models in this price category).

Lenovo A800– a youth, budget smartphone with good quality screen and sound. Expanding the lineup Lenovo does not forget about its devices and those who this moment does not have large funds to buy a phone, creating budget A series models for them.

You can learn more about the classification of models by studying the article:

IN this review we will consider on the one hand simple, but on the other - quality smartphone Lenovo IdeaPhone A800, which, thanks to its high-quality sound and good screen, competes with demand and competition among budget-level phones.

Let's take a look inside the box and see what equipment this smartphone has.

In a box with standard equipment, in addition to the phone, we see the most common set of accessories: Charger, 2000 mAh battery, microUSB cable, audio headset and a set of documentation with a warranty card.

Smartphone characteristics

The Lenovo filling consists of a dual-core MTK6577 processor, which has a frequency of 1.2 GHz, 512 MB of RAM and 4 GB of internal memory. There is map support MicroSD memory capacity up to 32 Gb. The 2000 mAh battery in the device is capable of lasting three to four days without recharging in battery saving mode.

The thickness of the device’s body is currently too large - 11.5 mm, but we do not forget that this is still a budget smartphone entry level. The overall dimensions of the device are: 133.5 x 68.9 x1 1.5 mm. The phone has 2 slots for SIM cards. One of which works in GSM\WCDMA modes, and the second only in GSM. Lenovo A800 comes pre-installed with an operating system Android system 4.0.4.

Screen resolution of this device is 480 by 854 pixels, which for a 4.5-inch diagonal is already the minimum acceptable value.

Screen

The Lenovo A800 screen is made on the basis of an IPS matrix and, in comparison with TFT displays in its price category, provides excellent image quality, only based on this, you can safely buy this phone for myself. The display has wide viewing angles and is perfect for surfing the Internet and using the phone as a game console.

The sound in the smartphone is loud and high-quality, and one might even say excellent, both for budget smartphone costing $120. According to Antutu Benchmark 3.2.1 tests, the device scored 7397 points, which is simply an excellent indicator, although quite typical for this processor.

The phone has one camera of 5 megapixels, with autofocus and for its five megapixels, it takes very good pictures. However, there is no flash, so the phone cannot be used as a flashlight.

Despite its thickness, the device looks normal and there is no special sensation of having a block in your hand. For the money, the device is surprisingly good. On the front side there is a Lenovo logo, a speaker, a 4.5-inch screen with an IPS matrix, and below it there are three touch buttons navigation.

In this review we will talk about a phone that is, perhaps, the best solution in the category “price-functionality-quality-autonomy”

Details under the cut)

Not long before purchasing this phone, after reading forums and reviews online, I was planning to purchase the Hero V6888, which is also a pretty good device in terms of price-functionality ratio, but the quality and autonomy were somewhat repulsive, further confirming the generally accepted folk “ wisdom" about free cheese and about quality things that are never cheap. But a little later, while traveling on the World Wide Web, I came across an interesting device, where, according to the seller’s description, there is a good 4.5" screen, a camera with autofocus, all the necessary wireless interfaces , including 3G and GPS and a capacious 2000mAh battery, the above indirectly confirmed the large number of sales of this phone. After reading about him popular reviews, which were often laudatory, it was decided to purchase this phone.
Having entered a search query on Aliexpress, I filtered the results by the number of sales, and at the top of the top was the Antion Store, where I bought this phone. At that time it cost me $106, the white version, including delivery, but now the total cost has risen. The next day, the seller provided a tracking number, by which I impatiently monitored the fate of my parcel, which was sent by Singapore Post. And the delivery itself lasted 22 days, which is a very good indicator, and the phone was already in my hands.
Packed quite well - the box with the phone was wrapped in a foam seal and bandaged with tape on top.

I immediately took out the phone and pressed the power button on the top end of the phone, but no, the phone wouldn’t turn on, I took out the battery, and it turned out that its contacts were covered with film, which I immediately got rid of. I turned it on and was immediately pleased with one pleasant detail - the phone out of the box was already in Russian, and a little later I found out that it already had ROOT, which I never learned to install. The Chinese seller is great, it is worthy of praise! Well, now let’s put aside sentiments and move on to the configuration. The box contained: a Chinese warranty card with some kind of brochure, a protective film for the screen (on the product page it is indicated as a gift), a USB cable, white headphones with a hardcore Chinese smell, a charger (5V, 700mah) with a flat plug, an adapter from a flat plug to an Orthodox socket, and, in fact, the phone itself.

Appearance, assembly

The design on the front reminded me of something Samsung Galaxy Nexus, due to the convex ends at the top and bottom, and this is if we compare the A800 with a black back cover. And with a white cover, it still looks more like the Pipo S3 tablet, which also has a black front panel and a white back case.
On the front panel there is a 4.5-inch display, above it there is a slot for the earpiece, the Lenovo logo and proximity and light sensors hidden nearby. There is no front camera. Below the screen there are three touch keys “Functions”, “Home” and “Back” - they have a uniform soft lilac backlight, which is clearly visible in low light conditions.

At the top end there is a jack for connecting 3.5mm headphones, a microUSB connector for charging and synchronization with a PC, and a power on/off key, as well as a screen lock/unlock key; it is slightly recessed into the body, and therefore it will be difficult for a beginner to “feel” it at first "blindly. The volume rocker is located on the left side, while the other ends are empty. The back cover is white and has a texture that is pleasant to the touch; thanks to it and the thin body, the phone lies confidently in your hand and does not try to slip out of your hands. The assembly is good, the body feels solid in the hand, no creaks or backlashes were noticed. At the back there is a 5MP camera with autofocus, there is no flash, at the bottom there is the inscription Smart Music, hinting at the presence of a special music chip in this phone to improve sound quality, next to it is a slot for the main speaker.

Removed back cover with some effort, due to the considerable number of latches along its perimeter, this moment is precisely compensated by the monolithic assembly of the case, but during reassembly you should press along the entire perimeter of the case so that all the latches work and there are no gaps left. SIM cards are inserted using the “sandwich” principle, with one SIM placed on top of the other. SIM1 slot with 3G support is located above SIM2 without 3G support. What angle to insert them is shown schematically in the figure under the battery. To the right of the SIM slots is a slot for microSD cards.

Screen. Touch. Viewing angles. Comparison with Pipo S3 (IPS) and C6-01 (Amoled)
The display of the A800 is made using IPS technology, 480x854 pixels.
The coating material is glass, I confirm.

It has a good reserve of brightness, right out of the box it comes with maximum brightness, and the picture is striking with its richness, it is higher than that of PIPO S3, and somewhere at the level of C6-01. But under straight lines sun rays The A800's picture loses contrast, but remains readable. The sensitivity of the touchscreen is good, there are no complaints, it supports 5 simultaneous touches. Below is a photo comparison of the C6-01 (Amoled), A800 (IPS) and PIPO S3 (IPS) screens.
With PIPO S3, due to the use of cheap IPS technology, we observe low brightness and contrast, and at an angle it only loses contrast. The other two devices performed well, at an angle the picture practically does not change, but in the C6-01, on the contrary, there is increased contrast and richness of the picture. The picture on the A800's screen looks more natural.

Desktop, Menu, Software, Productivity
The A800 has Android 4.0.4 installed, the device was not flashed, I am writing a review with the standard firmware that came out of the box. Firmware Life_A800_ROW_S105_121126. Root is available out of the box.
A proprietary Lenovo shell is installed on the desktop, there were no slowdowns when working with it, the interface is not overloaded with many buttons, but at the same time, convenience and functionality are thoughtfully combined here. I won’t demolish it, I’ll leave it.
The market was installed initially, through which the Dolphin Browser was downloaded, where Flash immediately works on sites, videos on Youtube play normally, and Internet surfing itself is smooth, small jerks when scrolling through pages were noticed only on “heavy” sites.
Despite the small volume by today's standards random access memory in 512MB, no problems were noticed with using the phone by browsing the Internet, watching videos, listening to music, reading books, taking photos and videos. But those who like to play heavy games may experience problems with this due to not the most powerful processor and a small amount of RAM, I myself am not a fan of playing games on smartphones, which I mentioned in one of my previous reviews, but judging by the reviews of A800 users, GTA3, GTAVS can be played comfortably on minimum or medium settings, on At maximum, the brakes and low FPS are already noticeable, the processor heats up and the device itself begins to freeze. Even when playing on medium settings in Vice City, a sharp drop in FPS can occur if it is raining or there is a large concentration of cars near you. It is possible to play Real Racing 3 normally also with low settings and preliminary cleaning of the RAM.
As for video playback, not everything is so rosy here either, 3 videos were uploaded - 1080p 8000kbps MKV, 1080P MP4 downloaded from YouTube, and 720P 4500kbps MKV. The first file was played back with a clear slowdown in the picture itself, the second file had just a black screen instead of a picture, and the third file played back normally and smoothly. There were no problems with sound for all three files. MX Player, downloaded from the Market, was used to watch the video. In fact, playing 1080p video on this phone is not necessary; its screen resolution is lower than HD, so watching 720p video here will be enough for your eyes.
The Antutu test shows 9198 Chinese parrots. Below are screenshots.

Camera, Photo, Video
The phone has one 5-megapixel camera, with autofocus and no flash. The quality of the images is normal, but in low light it is more difficult to take a good shot - there is noise due to high ISO values, and even after focusing, the final photo may turn out blurry due to the long shutter speed. The camera catches glare from light sources. But in the daytime the pictures look very decent. Front camera no - so you’ll have to forget about video calls on Skype.
The device records video in 720p (~9200kbps, mpeg4, audio AAC 16khz 96kbps) in 3GP format, there is autofocus support, but the overall picture quality is slightly worse than that of video recorded on the C6-01, since the A800 camera produces a slightly higher contrast than necessary. There is a small nuance when shooting video; many beginners cannot immediately find out how to shoot video in HD. To do this, you need to go to the video settings - there are 4 video quality settings: “Low”, “Medium”, “High”, “Good”. A beginner selects “High” and naively believes that the camera will shoot in HD, but no! In fact, to shoot in 720P you need to select “Good” and you will be happy)
I don’t post photos in daylight, because most mobile cameras They behave well in sunlight.
Here I show a photo under artificial and low light conditions, which clearly shows the shortcomings of the camera, which may be significant for some, but not for others.

The video is not mine, but the essence does not change - the recording quality is the same.

Wireless network. Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, FM radio
The device has Bluetooth version 3.0 on board, wireless headphones The BH-503 connects easily, the connection is stable through a brick wall, the sound is music player It's in stereo, you can switch tracks using headphones. Calls are supported; if you press and hold the handset key on the headphones for 1 second, the last number dialed will be called, but voice dialing Couldn't use headphones.
There were also no complaints about the Wi-Fi operation; its sensitivity is much better than that of the Pipo S3 tablet, but slightly worse than that of the Nokia C6-01, if the C6-01 finds 7 wireless points access, then the A800 finds 6 points. Two brick walls away from the router, the signal level is slightly below average, but Internet surfing remains quite comfortable and there are no connection interruptions. Speed Test was tested with direct line of sight to the router.
Communication with space works quite well, GPStest found 10 satellites after 45 seconds of searching, the phone was lying on the windowsill. Not bad.
FM radio without RDS support, the application launches and works without headphones, but apart from hissing you won’t hear anything, as soon as you insert the headphones - a clear sound appears, since the headphones act as an antenna.

Telephone functions, communication, speakers, microphone
The A800 provides support for 2 SIM cards, but only the first SIM supports 3G; with the second SIM you can only surf the Internet via GPRS/EDGE. The phone's network signal is normal, no interruptions were detected during conversations. When you bring the phone to your ear, the screen instantly turns off, as expected, the proximity sensor works well. The volume reserve of the ear speaker is good, but for me, there is a little lack of low frequencies here, because the high frequencies slightly hurt the ear at full volume, you even have to turn down the volume, but speech is heard clearly, the interlocutor at the “other end of the line” hears normally, due to the microphone’s operation no complaints.
The external speaker is loud, from a jacket pocket incoming call can be heard well. The vibration is medium in strength.
As for the sound quality of the music, I was pleased with the sound; there are no pronounced blockages in the high or low frequencies, the sound is uniform and balanced to the ear, maybe there really is a special music chip installed here, as hinted at by the Smart Music inscription on the back of the case.

Battery
Perhaps this is the strongest point of this phone, having a large screen and the ever-hungry Android on board, thanks to the 2000mAh battery it holds a charge well. With intense
use (Wi-Fi is always on, screen at minimum brightness), the A800 lasted 2 full days. With more gentle use, it lasts for 5 days. This is an excellent indicator.

Bottom line

Pros:
-Great screen
-Powerful battery
-Low price
-Good build
-Good selection of firmware

Minuses:
-No front camera
-Small amount of RAM

The Chinese turned out to be a very decent phone, and after looking at its price tag, it becomes somehow indecent to scold it for the minor shortcomings it has. For people who are not experienced in games, for whom it is important to always stay in touch on social networks, to be able to browse websites, watch YouTube, listen to music and at the same time maintain long battery life, I definitely recommend this phone. It suits me completely, and while Benjamin Fan, who deservedly received a positive review from me, eats bread and caviar with my money, at this time I continue to enjoy using this phone)))

I'm planning to buy +20 Add to favorites I liked the review +57 +82
