Therefore, after launching the TV, I usually launch the very simple and convenient Shafa Launcher.

It is completely Russified, quite colorful, you can change themes, set the keys at the top, change the quick launch tiles in places, and it correctly shows the weather and various settings.

If you get tired of one theme, you can always use another, there are not many of them, but they exist.

If you teach elderly parents or a child to select the icon of this launcher, then there will be no further problems with the Chinese interface. I haven’t been able to put it into autoload yet =(.

You can turn it off without waiting for 20 seconds, which for some reason the TV gives you to think, or maybe the owner will change his mind and watch a couple more episodes of Game of Thrones...

After turning off or rebooting, you will have to watch the advertisement for 15 seconds, because it is thanks to it that Xiaomi keeps the price of its TVs so low. But if you do a little trick, namely block advertising addresses directly on the router, then advertising will not be displayed, and the TV will immediately load the desktop.

TV appears in MiHome devices, but you can’t do much with it. Is it possible to create scripts for turning off, changing volume, etc. The TV itself cannot yet be a script. Therefore, you have to turn on the Xiaomi LED strip glued behind the TV with your hands, using the same button. It is not yet possible to create a scenario: “TV turned on - Turn on tape”...

Overall, Xiaomi came out with a good product for the money. If we take the price, then with normal Android on board at this price there are no competitors. There are TVs with Smart TV, but, as for me, this is head and shoulders below the capabilities of Android. Let's add to this an excellent display, good appearance and a built-in TV box, even if not with TOP hardware on board. For fans - the possibility of partial integration into a smart home system, and can participate in scenarios only as an action on something. There are no minuses, the first and most important in the 21st century is that there is no support for the DVB-C/DVB-T2/CI digital broadcasting standard, which doesn’t seem to be critical - set-top boxes cost a penny, but they could add it. The Chinese language and launcher are also a minus, the only plus is the ability to quite easily install the English language and various applications. The lack of Google services, and the inability to install them yet, is also a significant disadvantage. You have to wait until someone disassembles the firmware, as happened with robot vacuum cleaners, where now anyone can upload not only their own language pack into it, but also install an ftp server inside =).
MIUITV firmware is of course specific, but in a month of use I have not caught a single application crash or sudden TV reboot. At first, this Chinese thing really hurts the eye, but after a couple of weeks you don’t even notice - you immediately go to the menu and choose what we’re going to watch now: either a TV program, or a movie, or a cartoon from YouTube.
If it were possible to get root, this TV could well be called excellent in terms of price/quality.
