Acer Aspire V3 laptop: technical specifications and reviews. The most important component

15-inch screen, good battery life and good gaming performance

We have already had the opportunity to evaluate the Trinity platform in action, the performance report of which you can read in the corresponding article. But, of course, from the user’s point of view, it is more interesting how “commodity” laptops on this platform will perform. Well, let's start looking at the first laptop from the new family.

Acer is known for its consistent policy in supporting all platforms available on the market, and, of course, Trinity also prepared a solution - this is a full-size model in the most common format with a 15-inch screen. The laptop is relatively inexpensive, with integrated video (there is no discrete video card), but let's not forget that this is the most powerful integrated video on the market. Therefore, the laptop may also be of interest to moderate gamers. However, we will not be content with assumptions, but right now we will check all this in practice.

Design and functionality

The laptop has a glossy black finish on the lid, and there's plenty of gloss on the inside too, with the palm rest and edge of the screen as well as the LCD panel itself. However, for home use this design is quite acceptable and, one might even say, familiar to most potential consumers. On the other hand, the “appearance” of this laptop cannot be called completely ordinary. The silver keyboard panel is noteworthy (but the material here is the same - plastic). Another thing is that this color scheme is already associated with another Acer brand - Packard Bell.

The laptop weighs no more, but no less, than other 15-inch models: about 2.6 kg. The thickness of 3.3 cm does not allow us to name Acer Aspire The V3-551 is thin, but this has its advantage - it is possible to place a fairly effective and low-noise cooling system in the case.

The build quality is good, the gaps are even. The lid hinges are quite tight; When you vigorously open one of the edges of the lid, it even bends slightly. Good news for those who are not satisfied with the limited opening angle of the lid: this model’s screen can be opened almost completely.

The left side is occupied by video outputs (VGA and HDMI), there is also a USB 3.0 port, analog audio outputs, a power connector and a gigabit Ethernet socket.

On the right side there are two USB port 2.0, Kensington lock and slot optical drive. Finally, in the left corner of the front panel there is a universal card reader for flash cards. There were no comments regarding the ease of use of the ports during testing.

The bottom surface is extremely moderately perforated, so that a user holding the laptop on his lap is unlikely to block the main ventilation holes located in the center. And when the laptop is placed on a table, the developed rubber-coated feet will contribute to the cooling efficiency, which leave sufficient ventilation gap and hold the laptop well even on an inclined surface.

Through a hatch in the bottom wall there is access to the hard drive, modules random access memory and adapter wireless network. To clean the fan from dust, you will have to remove the bottom cover completely, which is also technically simple, but still not accessible to all users.

Keyboard

The keys have a short stroke and a fairly clear, informative press. However, when speed dial While typing, the keyboard may seem a little noisy. Those who are accustomed to using the numeric keypad will be pleased with its presence, but those for whom the centering of the alphabetical field is more important may be upset about this. Of the objective complaints, we can only note the controversial decision to add the Enter key to enter slash characters. This was clearly done only for the sake of design, because there is no practical need to highlight this key in this way, and the likelihood of missing Enter in this case increases. The cursor keys are also too small for active use in games.

Touchpad and positioning devices

The touchpad has a pleasant, slightly rough finish and is recessed a few millimeters into the panel. However, while working with text, you will probably want to turn it off, which can only be done by using a combination of a key from the top row of the keyboard simultaneously with Fn. The default sensitivity setting is not very good: the cursor moves horizontally much faster than vertically. Meanwhile, the kit does not include its own convenient utility for adjusting sensitivity. The key under the touchpad is solid, so the pressing force at the center and at the edges differs.

Additional keys and indicators

There are no additional buttons, and even the top row function keys not fully loaded with additional functionality. There is only the most necessary: the ability to disable the wireless adapter, switch to an external monitor, disable the touchpad, etc. The brightness level and volume are adjusted using the cursor keys, which is quite logical.

There are also few indicators, the main ones showing disk activity and operating mode wireless adapter, built into the front panel.

Screen and sound subsystem

The matrix has a classic resolution of 1366×768 pixels, which is very comfortable to “read” on a 15.6-inch screen. On the one side, technical level matrices have long allowed for higher resolution on a screen of this size. But for games and videos it is more than enough, and even more so for text, especially if the user does not have perfect vision. In a word, this is the very case when cheaper and simpler mean both greater convenience and versatility. The matrix, of course, has modern LED backlighting, but it does not have an excess of brightness; most likely, the level will always be set to 90-100 percent.

Color rendering is not satisfactory, the color temperature is quite cold, but the white color does not cast a clear blue in daylight. Vertical visibility is traditionally the weak point of all modern laptop TN+Film matrices, and this is already a fairly long-standing drawback, and, apparently, it is not so easy to eliminate it within the framework of this technology. However, due to the fact that the opening angle of the lid of this laptop is quite wide, adjusting the screen so that the image looks comfortable is not difficult.

The speakers are installed in the most advantageous place in terms of sound quality, built into the panel above the keyboard. And indeed, for its size and mobile application they sound more than satisfactory. You can even listen to instrumental music not without pleasure, but for everything else, especially, the quality is sufficient. Connecting headphones confirmed that there are no complaints about the analog output either.

Configuration and equipment

One of 4 models of the modern APU series (A10/A8/A6/A4) can be installed as a processor. Some configurations have a discrete Radeon HD 7670M graphics card with 1 or 2 GB of video memory. In addition, the amount of memory and hard drive is a variable.

In our case, we installed an older processor and a generous 8 GB of DDR3-1333 memory in two 4 GB sticks (of course, the memory operates in dual-channel mode).

The graphics core, called Radeon HD7660G, is nothing more than the most powerful version of the graphics integrated into the Trinity family of APU processors.

Below are the specifications of the sample tested in our laboratory.

The Piledriver architecture is a further development of Bulldozer, and indeed this version is already very well “combed”, so that it demonstrates an advantage in most load tests computing units processor. Only the result in DivX is somewhat out of the ordinary, however, enough was used here old version(for compatibility with previously captured results), which may simply “not like” Bulldozer.

As for the gaming test, in this case we used high quality settings and, nevertheless, obtained a “playable” frame rate. It should be added that in the case of the HP dv7 and Acer 5560G laptops, the graphics integrated into the chipset worked as part of a CrossFire connection with the corresponding discrete cards. However, in FarCry 2, the result of a single APU from the Trinity family was even higher than that of both combinations!

As for subjective feelings, the laptop leaves virtually no reason to complain about slowness in everyday work. And yes, it really is possible to launch and play almost any modern game with a decent level of quality.

The hard drive did not demonstrate the most outstanding performance, and perhaps users for whom the speed of loading applications is critical should pay attention to the configuration with a disk with a rotation speed of 7200 rpm or even consider an SSD.

Battery life

Testing was carried out in two modes: a cyclic playback of two high-bitrate HD videos in H.264 format was carried out, and the battery was drained in idle mode (simulating thoughtful typing or text editing) when the maximum energy saving profile was activated and the screen brightness was reduced to 30%, but at the wireless adapter is turned on.

We have already enjoyed the duration battery life full-size laptops on the Trinity platform in the engineering sample review mentioned above. It’s all the more pleasant to make sure that production models can last on the battery for a very long time. Most likely, the average user will solve his problems before the battery runs out.

Heat and noise

Let's take a look at the temperature regime. Data taken from AIDA64 utility during load test.

The laptop's temperature conditions are in perfect order. The laptop itself also heats up very moderately: the bottom surface only on the left side shows some heating during the load test, but also no more than 37°C. At the same time, the touchpad also becomes warm, although we are already accustomed to the fact that the top surface of most modern laptops remains cool even under heavy load. But let me emphasize that this effect only manifests itself in the mode of prolonged high load on the processor, which is generally not typical for laptops. The rest of the time you are unlikely to notice any heating, even if you hold the laptop on your lap.

The noise at idle is barely noticeable in a quiet room (29 dBA); when a load occurs, the fans almost immediately spin up to a level of 31-32 dBA, which is also not annoying at all. Under prolonged load, the maximum noise level that we were able to squeeze out of the laptop is 35.5 dBA, and the maximum corresponds to a long-term load on the computing cores. If the graphics part of the APU is mainly loaded, then the cooling system uses a more conservative mode, allowing the processor to heat up a little more.

conclusions

The laptop can primarily be recommended to those users for whom efficiency, low heating and noise levels, combined with long battery life, are important. Yes, these parameters are not always critical when it comes to full-size laptops, but if a person does not move on foot, then he may well prefer such a laptop to any portable one. The fact is that it allows you to work with greater comfort, and therefore more efficiently; In addition, what is especially pleasant, it manages to cope with the entertainment load no less effectively.

We didn't find any significant flaws in the design of the laptop; there are some little things, like a not very comfortable touchpad, but they don't spoil the overall impression of this model.

Acer has been releasing its models to the market for a long time. Laptops from this manufacturer are not as successful as before. This is caused by many reasons. First of all, the superiority of competing manufacturers, who are firmly entrenched in creating gaming or multimedia models.

Acer kept trying to find its niche, but somehow remained in the memory of buyers for the legendary models of 2009-2011. But this company cannot be buried. After all, even with such strong competition, it manages to promote its models to the market, among which there are both budget options and attempts to create a gaming laptop.

Series

Acer Aspire V3 is a series that has become known to the world a long time ago. So, in 2011, modifications of this family began to be released. It is impossible to consider them all, and it does not seem necessary. Most models feature minor changes in technical specifications and functions. You can also find some changes in the design.

In general, among the diversity of this series, a couple of models stood out, which we will talk about next. We can confidently say that these are Acer Aspire V3-571G and V3-772G. The first option is a “light” version of the second. They differ in appearance, technical characteristics and, accordingly, cost.

Mobility in action

So, the first model in this series is V3-571G. This option can rightfully be considered a representative mobile line. This is due to the fact that new Intel Ivy Bridge chips have appeared on the market. This is a special name for a whole family with a microarchitecture based on the 22-nm process technology.

Before you consider specifications, you need to pay attention to the appearance, since it is somewhat different from the next model we review. The design turned out to be not very different from all previous models. And here it is not clear whether the company creates deliberately unattractive models in order to devote time to specifications, or whether it simply fails to create beautiful and memorable laptops.

The Acer Aspire V3-571G turned out to be angular and massive at first glance. The model is made of high quality plastic. On top, on the lid, there is nothing besides the company logo. There are silver elements on the sides that, on the black plastic, visually lengthen the laptop somewhat. There is nothing remarkable on the bottom of the laptop. There is a cover under which you can see the model memory and hard drive.

USB connectors and a disk drive are located on the right side. There are more slots on the left side. There is another USB, but of the third generation, also a place for connecting the Internet, headphones, microphone and charger. A pair of video outputs and a cooling system grille are visible.

The front end only received space for a card reader and, as usual, laptop operation indicators. This contains information about the device’s power supply, the functioning of the hard drive and the wireless network. The rear end, although empty, is decorated with a silver insert, which looks unusual.

Details

Since this is a simple option for everyday purposes, nothing unusual can be found in the details. The work area received contrast in the manufactured plastic. The touchpad area is black, and the keyboard area is gray. Above the keys there is a speaker grid. This placement is very convenient, since many manufacturers like to place speakers on the bottom or sides of the case.

In this case, the sound is not muffled by anything and is of quite high quality overall. The keyboard is ordinary, has an island type, the arrow block is separated, which some may find convenient. The key travel is minimal, but it is felt and very comfortable to work with. The touchpad on the glossy panel is barely visible, but it is normal and generally also convenient, it has separate LMB and RMB.

The screen turned out to be mediocre, but you shouldn’t have expected anything else for the price of 30 thousand rubles. Acer laptop Aspire V3 works with TN+Film matrix. The display has a diagonal of 15.6 inches. Standard resolution - 1366x768 pixels. These screen characteristics are sufficient for everyday work; this option is not very suitable for games, since the resolution is average and color reproduction is inaccurate.

Specifications

As already mentioned, this model is more related to a regular consumer laptop. Although some buyers were able to adapt the system to games of that time. And if Core processor The i7-3610QM with four cores could still show good performance, but the NVIDIA GeForce GT 640M video card slightly underestimated all performance for games.

The processor operated at a frequency of 2300 MHz, which in principle could be increased to 3.3 GHz. At the same time, there were modifications of the Acer Aspire V3 that worked at more weak processors, but with increased speed indicators.

RAM could also be from 4 GB, depending on the cost of the laptop. In general, even this volume should be enough for all everyday tasks. But for those for whom this might not be enough, it is possible to purchase the 8 GB version.

Returning to the video card, it is worth noting that at one time this option was considered the golden mean, since in addition to performance it also showed moderate power consumption, which was no less important. At the same time, the ratio of speed and cost of such an accelerator was justified. Although the first models of this modification were supplied with an outdated GT 630M adapter.

Gaming laptop

Another good model in the Acer Aspire V3 series is the V3-772G laptop. Outwardly it is similar to the previous modification, but has received a modified work panel. The case cover has a relief surface and the company logo. The ends of the device received all the same connectors and indicators. The location for the headphones and microphone, as well as the connector for the charger, have changed.

returning to work area, it is worth noting that all elements remained in place. The touchpad is slightly modified; it has abandoned the additional buttons that imitate a mouse. And instead of a glossy coating, there is the same relief as on the case cover.

The Acer Aspire V3-772G's keyboard remains unchanged, but the previous model had more contrast and perhaps better visibility. Now, island-type keys are located on a dark gray background. The speaker and power button have not changed their location.

The device display has increased. Now it has a diagonal of 17.3 inches, while the resolution has also increased - 1920x1080 pixels. The TN matrix still doesn't look the best, but overall at this resolution it looks better than the previous version.

Specifications

This modification of the Acer Aspire V3 has much better system performance than the previous version. This is due to the fact that the quad-core Intel Core i7-4702MQ processor has become stronger and has improved NVIDIA video card GeForce GTX 760M. RAM is 8 GB, it operates at a frequency of 1.6 GHz.

The laptop has become a little heavier. This is most likely caused by the improved battery capacity.

Acer Aspire 3 has decent performance with new processor Intel Core i3-8130U based on Kaby Lake. But this model doesn't win in other test categories: the display is too dark, the battery life is average, and the hardware is partially outdated. In general, these characteristics are only sufficient for an average result.

Advantages

Strong processor
256 GB SSD

Flaws

Dark, low-contrast display
No port USB Type-C
Moderate mobility

Royal power: Acer Aspire 3 delivers better benchmark performance

On Russian market this model can only be found with a 500 GB HDD. But it will cost significantly less. If you want to speed up your laptop, you can use the money you save to replace the HDD with an SSD yourself. If you intend to purchase a model with an SSD already installed, then there is an option with a 128 GB disk in this online store.

The processor is a significant advantage

In our list of laptops under 40,000 rubles, Acer Aspire 3 is unique. While other manufacturers rely on low-cost Pentium processors or legacy processors, the Aspire 3 uses the cutting-edge Intel Core i3-8130U with Lake Kaby architecture. Thanks to turbo mode, processor frequencies can rise under load from 2.2 to 3.4 GHz, which brings its performance closer to the previous generation of Intel Core i5 processors. It's no surprise that the Acer Aspire 3 sets new standards in terms of performance - especially when you powerful processor an SSD with a capacity of 256 GB and 4 GB of RAM are attached.

Thus, the laptop offers more than enough power for everyday office and Internet tasks. Even graphically not very complex games such as Fortnite: Battle Royale can be easily run on this device. The laptop always remains virtually silent. But more resource-intensive image and video processing will slow down on it due to limited RAM. Although this is already par for the course among devices in this price range.

Office, multimedia, games: Intel Core i3-8130U can handle almost any information

Weakness #1: Hardware and ergonomics

While the processor spares no effort, the device is disappointing in other ways. The Aspire 3 only has one USB 3.0 port and two slow USB 2.0 ports. You won't find it in a laptop newest port Type-C. The rest of the equipment is excellent, including support for WLAN-ac and Bluetooth 4.0 wireless modules. Otherwise, there are no surprises: there is an HDMI port, an SDXC memory card slot and a LAN port.

The Chiclet keyboard is not backlit and challenges even experienced typists, as the slippery surface of the keys makes the fingers slide a lot, and the keys themselves are very flat. But with all this, a touchpad that is not too sticky or slippery can be considered good alternative mice. It was he who added points to the device when assessing the ergonomics of the device.

Thanks to the optional service cover on the bottom of the laptop, the device can be upgraded by adding a 2.5-inch hard drive

Weak point #2: Display

The fact that Acer likes to save money on the display in its Aspire series is no longer news. The Taiwanese have never fallen as low as with the Aspire 3 A315-51 in our tests. Although the 15.6-inch TN display panel has a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels (Full HD), it offers a very narrow viewing angle and poor color saturation. In addition, the staggered contrast ratio, that is, the simultaneous display of dark and light areas, is below average here - 147:1. Like its predecessor, the panel's brightness is quite low. The Aspire 3 achieves a maximum of 176 candelas per square meter - too low for outdoor use on sunny days.

Weakness #3: Mobility

The Acer Aspire 3 is only partially suitable for use on short trips or on the train. The battery lasts less than six hours of video playback. In pure office mode, the laptop can work for less than 7.5 hours, but as soon as the work becomes more resource-intensive, the laptop turns off after about 4 hours. The laptop weighs less than 1.8 kg - not that light, which is why the mobility rating is quite average. The best results are obtained when connected to the network and with an external monitor.

Although the Aspire 3 is relatively thin, it's only slightly suited for travel

The entry into the market of the Acer Aspire V3 series of laptops in various modifications clearly did not go unnoticed by either potential buyers or competitors. Judging by numerous reviews in the media, the mobile device has countless advantages, first of all it low price and very high productivity. In this article, the reader will be able to take a closer look at the culprit behind the hype in the laptop market. Having learned the technical characteristics, advantages and disadvantages, as well as having studied the reviews of the owners, anyone can independently draw conclusions about the device and make the right decision before making a purchase.

Positioning of the device in the global market

The Acer Aspire V3 laptop is designed for home use, and its target audience is owners who need the most powerful mobile device to run all kinds of multimedia applications. However, in our country, for some reason, it is generally accepted that the presence of a sufficiently powerful discrete adapter indicates that the device is aimed at the gaming market. This is an erroneous opinion, because the video system is still in demand when working with video editors or viewing programs, graphic editors, where video filters are used, in plotting and 3D modeling.

And if we are talking about games, then the user should initially know that Acer Aspire V3 series laptops are not positioned on the market as mobile gaming devices.

Branded packaging from the manufacturer

As subtly noted: “They greet you by their clothes.” The buyer needs to perceive the manufacturer’s decision to abandon luxurious packaging as a desire to reduce the price for this mobile device. In fact, the box is needed only to carry the laptop to the door of the house. It is made of ordinary cardboard and presented in the form of a diplomat. At one end of the box the manufacturer gave short description functionality laptop. And on the main panel of the packaging there is even a graphic image of the device itself with the name of the modification.

The equipment included with the device is a little more interesting: the Acer Aspire V3 laptop itself, a Recovery disk for recovery Windows systems, drivers, power supply, quick guide and cloth case. Some modifications mobile devices, as the owners note in the reviews, are included in the package full instructions on setting up the system and operating the laptop. Regarding the included case, opinions agree that it is designed to protect the device from dust and moisture during storage.

First meeting

The design of the laptop is largely conservative. The complete absence of glamorous bevels along the edges, additional drawings on the laptop cover and mirror gloss on all surfaces make it clear to the potential buyer that this is a device for business and home use, and not just another toy to the envy of others.

Due to the fact that the Acer Aspire V3 laptop has many modifications, the manufacturer decided to release several types of case design - metal and plastic. This solution made it possible to significantly expand target audience buyers.

A laptop with a metal case is less susceptible to fingerprints, and its appearance, unlike a plastic device, is more presentable. However, do not forget that you will have to pay extra for a metal solution; the manufacturer did not make this innovation free.

The most important component

Acer has a rather strange attitude towards its customers. All modifications existing on the market have different liquid crystal matrices, and it seems that the manufacturer installed what he had on hand at that time. The business class of 17-inch devices received a low-quality TN+Film matrix, but with support for FullHD resolution. The classic 15-inch laptop was the most unlucky of all; it was equipped with an antediluvian TN matrix with a resolution of 1366 x 768 dpi. Even the LED backlight, implemented to equalize the color balance of the screen, is not capable of reflecting true black color.

But 13-inch devices, the same Acer Aspire V3 371, reviews of which in the media claim that the device is aimed at mobile users, have received all the latest technologies. This is an IPS matrix, 1920 x 1080 resolution and LED backlighting. Naturally, this series of laptops has excellent color reproduction and excellent viewing angles, and, accordingly, there will be no negativity from buyers in the media.

Interfaces and connectors

I'm very pleased with the manufacturer's decision to install an optical drive in the Acer Aspire V3 line of laptops. As practice shows, the technology is in demand again after USB drives began to fail over their service life. DVD drive is missing only in the 13-inch device, which is why there is a lot of media coverage negative reviews, because instead of a disk drive the manufacturer did not deign to place additional connectors, leaving the panel empty.

In addition to the optical drive, the right panel of devices contains a connector for connecting a charger, two USB ports, an audio output for connecting headphones and a corresponding input for a microphone. The left panel of the laptop has two more USB connectors, an RJ-45 connector for connecting to local network, HDMI output and analog signal output, implemented in the form of the old D-Sub interface. It is worth noting that on the same panel there is also a huge grille with a radiator, through which hot air is removed from the processor and video card.

This is the keyboard!

When you open the laptop lid, the first thing that catches your eye is the gorgeous keyboard. It is very important that the manufacturer did not try to be clever, as it did with screens, and provided all its devices, including the most popular Acer Aspire V3 571g line, with an excellent and practical input device. The keyboard is complete: there is a number pad, all the buttons are full-size and spaced a couple of millimeters apart from each other.

The key travel is short, but very hard, with little feedback to the finger. Even the long space button is capable of controlling the press. Judging by numerous reviews in the media, the owners express special gratitude to the manufacturer for installing a professional input device.

It's quite strange to see function buttons on full-size keyboards. However, upon closer examination, everything falls into place - the buttons control wireless interfaces, screen and sound. It’s a pity that the manufacturer decided to save money here, because the keys placed separately on the device panel would have looked much more refined.

Special attention - touch panel

A rather strange touchpad is installed in the Acer Aspire V3 laptop. User reviews on this issue are twofold. On the one hand, the touch panel has a matte finish with a slight roughness. This solution allows you to control the sliding of your finger as effectively as possible. Accordingly, the touchpad can even be used to create sketches in drawing.

On the other hand, the touchpad attracts a lot of questions regarding its size and placement. The manufacturer, for some unknown reason, recessed it a couple of millimeters deep, reducing its size, and its placement touchpad practically on the front end of the laptop causes negative emotions when using it. After all, it is inconvenient to constantly hold your hands in weight. Also, many users were outraged by the lack of multi-touch technology for the touch panel.

Pleasant sound

IN Lately Most manufacturers do not pay attention to the audio system of their devices, and this has already become the norm, which cannot be said about laptops from the Acer Aspire V3 line. Reviews from the owners of this gadget claim that they have not heard such wonderful sound for a long time. The speakers are located under the panel located between the screen and the keyboard. They are positioned as a stereo system, but the manufacturer decided not to stop there and provided them with the function “ Home cinema", which is implemented through the standard Realtek driver.

Users note that the sound quality extends to the audio output, which honestly produces a range from 40 Hz to 15 kHz. And if we compare the sound quality on active speakers connected to the laptop’s audio jack, then it is no worse than external sound card entry level from Creative E-MU 0204USB. This is a serious statement from the manufacturer Acer on the multimedia device market.

About "goodies"

All potential buyers will be interested to know that the concept of “weak components” is completely absent for the entire line of Acer Aspire V3 laptops. The technical characteristics of all devices begin with a description of the processor. Depending on the modification, you can find Core i3, i5 and i7 processors, for which the manufacturer has installed the appropriate sets of RAM, the volume of the latter varies in the range of 4-16 Gigabytes.

Manufacturer installed video adapters start with gaming line GeForce GT 640M. Judging by the numerous reviews from satisfied owners, video adapters are very common Nvidia GeForce GTX 760M, which work together with the integrated 4600 adapter and can be disabled in hardware to save battery power.

Most laptops have modern SSD drives with capacities ranging from 120 to 240 GB. Seventeen-inch devices are equipped with two hard drives: an SSD and an HDD. And this is for the entire Acer Aspire V3 line. The BIOS system is protected from failures and is duplicated by an additional chip, as is implemented on gaming computers.

Autonomy

Many potential buyers are never interested in the battery life of laptops with high performance, because a priori these are two mutually exclusive factors - either productivity or autonomy. Unless we are talking about Acer Aspire V3 series laptops. The battery in all devices is guaranteed not to allow the device to turn off for two hours at a constant processor and video card load of no more than 70% - this is the majority of dynamic games.

Watching a video will allow you to use the battery life for up to four hours, like any laptop of this class. However, users note that it is not possible to extend the operating time of the device on a single charge by disabling the wireless interfaces, since their consumption is negligible compared to basic components. If you disable the discrete video adapter in hardware and lower the screen brightness, you may be able to gain twenty to thirty minutes of battery life.

Positive points

Many owners of Acer Aspire V3 devices will like the characteristics of wireless interfaces. All laptops are equipped with a Wi-Fi module from the famous Qualcomm Atheros brand, which, according to IT specialists, is considered today the most stable in the world and will never freeze due to overheating or transferring large amounts of information. Also everyone mobile systems equipped with a modern Bluetooth 4.0 module supporting all available technologies that comply with this standard.

The wired interface for connecting to the Internet or local network is gigabit and is based on the well-known company Broadcom. When installing components, the manufacturer gives preference only to well-known brands that provide their products with a long warranty period. Thus, RAM modules from Kingston have a lifetime warranty, and hard drives from the Japanese manufacturer Toshiba are limited to five years of operation.

All users, without exception, are very pleased that the manufacturer has installed a modern webcam with a resolution of 1.3 megapixels, FullHD support and video recording speeds of up to 60 frames per second in all models of the Acer Aspire V3 series.

Equipment features

It’s quite interesting what the manufacturer did with the equipment of laptops. operating system. In most cases, the buyer is offered a laptop without Windows, but each such device comes with a recovery disk from which any owner can deploy the mentioned operating system on his device.

Some modifications, on the contrary, have a licensing system with a sticker on the case, as is implemented for all devices
