On paper, it all looked so unusual that, as soon as the opportunity arose, we immediately ordered the entire series for testing. A total of three rodents arrived - Multi-Core Gaming Mouse Gun3 V3, V5 And V7. Since technically they are all similar, we structured the text as follows: first we talk about appearance, and then we’ll figure out how it all works and feels there.

Our trio is decorated very neatly and beautifully. The rodents are supplied in attractive boxes with color printing and a hinged lid with a transparent window. Inside there are instructions, a mini-disk with drivers, several stickers and a set of replaceable Teflon feet.

The first representative of the series, Gun3 V3, resembles the . The body is wide and fits the entire palm; there is a characteristic hump in the center. The back is made of easily soiled, but pleasant to the touch soft-touch plastic. The sides are made of rough plastic with deep notches that cling well to your fingers. A couple of keys are on the left side, three more are in the center, right behind the wheel. The mouse fits perfectly in the hand, although many will find it too massive.

The design elements of the V5 echo its brother: concave clicks, pointed ends. But the design itself has narrowed, and grooves have appeared at the ends for gripping with fingers. It’s strange, but although the body is completely symmetrical, the keys on the left side were not duplicated, so there is no question of complete mirroring.

The materials have changed a bit. While the top received the same soft-touch plastic, the plastic on the sides became smooth, which reduced grip. But the mouse is more comfortable in the hand and fits freely even in a small palm. I was lucky with the buttons too. The engineers managed to catch the moment when a light press is enough to click. In shooters, where a delay of a split second turns into death, this is a great help.

The third and last mouse in our review is subtly reminiscent of the design: a raised back, pads for the thumb and ring fingers, and in the center there is a line of buttons stylized as armor scales.

The length of the rodent is close to its counterparts, but at the same as V3 and slightly thicker than V5. The clicks have the usual straight shape, the wheel is completely covered by the housing. The side keys have changed a bit. If in V3 they were deliberately elongated, and in V5, on the contrary, they were shortened, then with V7 the engineers came to a golden mean. The same can be said about ergonomics: the mouse is not as aggressive as its relatives, and due to the finger rests it strains your hand less.

Little tricks

The mice need very little to operate. Install software Bloody 2 and plug the USB tail into the computer. The cable is of high quality, wrapped in fabric, bends well and is equipped with a special Velcro that helps you carefully roll up and secure the extra centimeters.

All rodents received a laser sensor with a resolution of 3000 dpi, protected by a plastic screen. It's not much, but it's enough for most games. Sensitivity is adjusted in the software. It can be changed both by axes and by a general regulator. To switch on the fly, A4Tech came up with a clever scheme. The software presets the required values ​​- for example, 800, 1000, 2500, 3000 dpi. Then, during the game, just click the key closest to the scroll a couple of times and spin the wheel. In this case, a scale with the selected parameter will appear in the lower right corner. For those who like instant “jumps”, it is possible to assign the necessary dpi to the buttons under the thumb; for this, there is a corresponding item in the menu, which also allows you to assign keyboard actions or Windows commands to the keys.

However main feature Bloody 2 is a choice of operating modes. There are three of them in total. Core 1 stitches a rodent onto a regular office profile. Core 2 activates A4Tech's signature trick - rapid shooting, when a single click triggers a series of triggers. Previously, a button next to the wheel was allocated for this task, now this is done at the driver level, and the keys under the scroll are responsible for moving between input methods. The first - one cartridge, the second - two, the third - three.

As a bonus there is an option Core 3, distinguishing feature Bloody series. In this state the mouse acquires several additional functions- support for hand-written macros and automatic trajectory correction during an attack. Let’s say right away that it’s difficult to program buttons: A4Tech gives you Text Document and, using tools, suggests preparing code that even understands the “and, not, or” conditions. For those who are not ready to bother with this, the developer has launched a website from which you can download other people's work (or share yours). Unfortunately, it was not possible to try this option: at the time of preparation of the material, the Russian version had not yet been launched and all programs on the resource were accompanied by comments exclusively in Chinese.

It is much easier with the trajectory correction mode. Its main task is to dampen the recoil of the weapon. It functions simply: when you click, the mouse holds the specified position and does not allow the barrel to move up or to the side. There can be two options for operation - firing in bursts or three bullets per click. To adapt to a specific type of barrel, there is a mini-program.

Unfortunately, for some reason unknown to us, the advanced Core 3, after purchasing a mouse, is only available in demo mode: 1000 clicks, no more. If you want to remove restrictions, please pay an additional 600 rubles. Note that for the X7 series the developers offer the same thing for free. Oscar Mouse Editor allows you to write macros and deal with recoil, the only thing missing is the “queue” modes and adjustment to the types of weapons.

In technical terms, rodents are twin brothers, so they work in much the same way. You get used to them quickly, especially if you switch from a regular office mouse or any other A4Tech model: the movements are predictable, without unnecessary jerks, the keys respond with a clear click, and presses occur without noticeable delays. When compared with premium models, such as the Mamba 2012, which the V3 resembles, the models lack weight distribution, smoothness, accuracy and on-time acceleration. Plus, mice do not like tables and smooth rugs; clarity appears on surfaces with clearly visible grain.

As for additional functions, this is our opinion. Double and triple shots in Battlefield 3 are initially pleasing, especially with automatic weapons. The accuracy of fire increases, and one click is sometimes enough to knock down a seasoned enemy. But there are too many situations where three descents are not enough, and it is impossible to instantly switch to the “queue”.

Almost the same can be said about trajectory correction. When you hold down the click, the sight really freezes, and all the bullets land right on target. However, it is difficult to get used to this after many years of “manual” suppression. During an attack, the hand, according to old memory, moves the barrel down and sends the clip under the enemy’s feet. We won’t give the regime an unequivocal “useless” rating - we are sure that someone will master a new art and set the heat on the battlefield.

Eventually

With the new series, A4Tech is exploring an unexplored market segment. If previously the company played in the price category “up to 1000 rubles”, then with Bloody costing about 1200 rubles (plus 600 rubles for Core 3) it will have to fight with such masters of their craft as Roccat, SteelSeries and even Razer. I must admit, the battle will be difficult. In many ways, the competition is superior to A4Tech, but Bloody has some unusual features and a powerful macro editor up its sleeve.

Gaming peripherals have apparently become a very profitable business, and companies with a wider profile have joined manufacturers specializing only in the gaming segment. These include Asus, Logitech and now A4Tech. She has already released a series of gaming products called Bloody.

What is this?

A4Tech Bloody Terminator TL9 is a wired gaming mouse with an Avago A9800 laser sensor with a maximum resolution of 8200 DPI, Japanese Omron switches with durability up to 20 million clicks, 9 fully programmable buttons and a response time of “less than” 1 ms (according to the manufacturer).

The mouse uses metal legs with a durable and smooth surface, Metal X"Glide Armor Boot, which promise wear resistance of up to 300 km of "run" (let's call it that). The proprietary software has a huge number of settings and allows you to configure the mouse completely to suit your own needs. Starting from different modes resolutions and ending with recoil compensation in shooters and writing macros. All this is stored on the built-in memory of 160 KB.

What else does it have?

A permanent 1.8-meter fabric-wrapped cable is used for connection. The mouse itself is covered with a "rubberized, sweat-resistant coating" (based on official information), the buttons have a textured pattern. The mouse is asymmetrical and designed for right-handed use, with corresponding finger grooves on the sides.

What is in the box?

The packaging is quite standard for gaming devices: it is of considerable size, the front part opens like a book, under it you can see the manipulator itself and a description of the software features. In our kit (in addition to the mouse) there was a booklet with the entire line of Bloody products, a card with the address for downloading branded software, and stickers with the Bloody logo.

What does the A4Tech Bloody Terminator TL9 look like?

The mouse is quite large, the frame is made entirely of metal, on top of which there are plastic covers. Top part has a soft-touch coating, the sides are made of rougher, rougher plastic. The wheel is rubberized and textured. Below is a two-position joystick button (forward, backward) and two additional ones. As expected, there is a luminous logo, like all similar gadgets.

On the left side there is a characteristic indentation for the thumb and two additional buttons. Metal parts of the frame are visible in front and behind:

On the other side there are two indentations: for the ring finger and little finger. They are located quite well and thoughtfully. The slots in the frame are illuminated on both sides (apparently for greater effect):

The lower part is made entirely of metal, both the bottom and the legs. Everything fits very well and dust doesn’t get clogged anywhere (as happens with many mice):

How convenient is it?

The buttons are easy to press and moderately noisy: there is no noise throughout the entire apartment and the user will not disturb the life of his family (if there is one). The scroll wheel is quite soft and makes almost no sound. Due to the design, length (123 mm) and finger grooves on the side panels, it is most convenient to use a palm grip. The side additional buttons are well located and easy to press. The top joystick and additional buttons are quite difficult to reach: the gap between their block and the scroll wheel is quite large, but these buttons are used primarily to change the shooting mode and this moment not so critical.

The metal legs, as promised by the manufacturer, glide very well over the surface. When using the mouse on a table, they glide so well that with minimal tilt the mouse begins to move across the surface without any effort from the user. I really liked it, although it is a very personal moment. An option to increase the coefficient of friction is to use a playing surface (popularly called a “rug”). The mouse weighs 150 g, slippery metal legs allow you to move the mouse with the minimum of effort. Personally, I would like more weight: the rodent flies too easily and sweepingly across the surface of the table.

What can A4Tech Bloody Terminator TL9 do?

Of course, the mouse works without any problems immediately when connected to a PC, but one of the features of this mouse is the customization to suit your needs. Bloody5 can be downloaded from the official website; there are both free and paid, more functional versions. The software doesn't look very "friendly". The interface is translated into Russian very clumsily and partially, although basic knowledge in English quite enough for use. There are 8 tabs at the top, which are not always active (depending on the selected mode). On home page There is a choice of modes, switching between which takes some time:

There are only four modes, the first two of which are free, to activate the rest you need to pay an additional $20 (or buy the Activated version of the mouse, it is approximately 70 UAH more expensive than the regular one, which is more profitable than paying $20 at the current exchange rate). The last two modes are available in a trial version (1000 clicks), which allows you to determine their need. Modes are designed for different game genres:

• Core 1– mode for strategies and FPS and office use. All additional buttons become inactive
• Core 2– a mode for FPS with the ability to configure burst shots with one click of a button. By default, additional button 1 is responsible for one shot, additional. button n - double shot, 3 - triple and 4 - four shots in a row
• Ultra Core 3– FPS mode with macro settings, recoil compensation and trajectory settings. To use this module you need downloaded or your own scripts
• Ultra Core 4– a mode for MMO games with a Combo panel that allows you to create sequences of actions

First, let's look at the tabs common to all modes. Button is responsible for assigning functions to buttons:

In the Sensitivity tab, you can configure the response speed from 1 to 18 ms, the sensor resolution from 100 to 8200 DPI (in this case called CPI) in steps of 100, and the USB connection polling frequency from 125 MHz to 1000 MHz. You can configure up to 5 DPI modes, which are switched in a rather inconvenient way: the joystick button tilts forward for 3 seconds, after which the desired value is selected with the wheel. Saved with the same joystick.

The Guard tab is designed exclusively for wireless mice, in this case is not needed:

When you turn on Core 2, the Guns tab becomes active, where you can configure one-click burst shooting modes and sniper mode:

IN Ultra mode Core 3, 2 more tabs appear, the first is Macro, for setting up macros. Here it’s worth delving into the instructions: this tab is absolutely not clear and it won’t be easy to quickly figure it out on your own:

And the Healshot tab. She is responsible for setting recoil compensation, there is a list with games and a table that indicates the type of shooting, weapon, button selection, monitor resolution and sensitivity value. The Headshot button opens a menu with settings for any weapon:

In Ultra Core 4 mode, instead of Headshot, the Combo tab is active, where you can configure a sequence of actions that will be performed by clicking once, cyclically while holding down the button, or by pressing once, up to and including again:

In practice, the rodent proved to be very convincing: it was tested on Starcraft 2, Battlefield 3, Watch Dogs and Wolfenstein: The New Order. Thanks to the fast response time and the wide range of possible DPI values, no issues arose in any of the games. The assignment of the buttons works as expected, after some dancing I tried the Trial options of Ultra Core 3 and 4: there is nothing special to say about the benefits and use of macros, this function is not something special. I was more interested in the recoil compensation function. After a lot of googling and manipulation, some results were achieved. When configured correctly, the function really works and helps to significantly improve accuracy in shooters.

With regard to ordinary applications, everything is familiar and convenient. There are no special features, I felt comfortable working with office applications, graphic editors and browser at 1200 DPI. The downside is that there is no separate button for quickly switching the DPI value: you need to perform the manipulations that are described a little earlier in this section.

Bottom line

From an ergonomic point of view, I liked the A4Tech Bloody Terminator TL9. There is no discomfort with prolonged use. Very slippery feet plus a sensor with high resolution and customizability allows you to customize the mouse for almost any user and any needs. The proprietary software has very wide customization options, some of which will be useful only to particularly scrupulous gamers. For most average users, this will be enough. free version. The Bloody5 interface itself is made rather clumsily and not very user friendly, as they say. A separate DPI switch button would also be nice. The mouse is not for sale yet, although I dare to assume that it will cost about 550 UAH (the version with activated software will be 80 UAH more expensive). There are a lot of different options in this price range, the closest in characteristics are other A4Tech Bloody models. Some models of the more popular Razer and SteelSeries also fit into the same amount, although there is no talk about such a sensor and customization options.
