Bit abroad - Internet abroad MTS. Bit abroad

Traveling around the world, as well as international business trips, have long become a common thing for residents of Russia. Special tariffs from MTS that are valid abroad will help you stay in touch with family and colleagues anywhere in the world. Let's look at the most affordable ones.

For low-cost outgoing calls, use the Zero Unlimited option. Messages and Internet traffic tariffs are expensive. The package is available in all countries except: Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan and South Ossetia. For using the service, 95 rubles are debited from your account daily. The right decision would be to top up your account with about 1,000 rubles before your trip. In addition to the fixed subscription fee, calls under the MTS “Zero Without Borders” tariff are indexed according to certain criteria:

  • from 2 to 5 minutes the call is paid in the amount of 25 rubles per minute;
  • 1 and starting from 6 minutes - are charged at the roaming cost of the country where you are located.

Incoming calls are also paid in addition to the subscription fee. From 1 to 10 minutes - the conversation is completely free, from 11 minutes - 25 rubles per minute.

Prices for other services in the MTS “Zero Without Borders” tariff can be read after logging into your personal account or by calling the 24-hour user support service at 0890. Company operators will provide detailed information about current tariff plans and offers.

How to enable or disable the “Zero without borders” option

If in the past you used the “World Without Borders” tariff from MTS, which has now been renamed to the “Zero Without Borders” tariff plan, then activating or deactivating the service will not be difficult. To connect the option, use the following options:

  • dial *4444# if you are in the Russian Federation. Or *111*4444# if you are abroad;
  • send an SMS message to number 111 with the text 33;
  • at any official representative office of the company;
  • in your personal account on the official website. This is a convenient way to independently monitor and manage connected services.

When you arrive home, do not forget to disable the “World Without Borders” tariff from MTS. After all, the subscription fee will be debited from your account regardless of your location. To disable the service you need:

  • dial *111*4444# and select disable;
  • send an SMS message to number 111 with the text 330;
  • contact the company’s office or independently disable the service in your personal account.

Let your vacation or business trip be pleasant and worry-free. MTS tariffs valid for roaming abroad will provide comfortable and profitable mobile communications.

Many modern consumers are accustomed to spending most of their time on the Internet, unable to imagine themselves without its endless opportunities for work and entertainment. Being abroad for various reasons, such subscribers feel uncomfortable - the cost of access to the network on MTS is so high that even ordinary correspondence seems “golden”. To solve this problem, the BIT service abroad was developed by MTS. Today’s article will tell you what it is and what its pricing is.

Depending on the state of residence, 1 MB of network access can cost the user a pretty penny. Sometimes it's simply easier to find an unpaid Wi-Fi access point than to access the Internet via a cellular network. But what to do when there is no unpaid point nearby, and you need to get into the World Wide Web right now. In such situations, the “BIT Abroad” service will come to the rescue, which provides Internet traffic under the following conditions:

  • For a fee of 300 rubles per day, the subscriber will be provided with 30 MB of traffic - the conditions apply in Thailand, China, Egypt, Korea, Turkey, America, Canada, Georgia, Israel, Abkhazia and the UAE.
  • For a fee of 1,200 rubles, the subscriber will be provided with 5 MB per day - the conditions apply to all other countries of the world, ships and aircraft.

The costs are extremely high, but still cheaper than paying for each MB of access. Once the allocated traffic is used up, the Internet connection will be blocked until the next day. So you need to spend it punctually. It is also recommended to turn off all automatic software updates on your mobile gadget, which will reduce MB consumption. For an additional fee, you can order another access package of the same type. To do this, you need to dial the combination * 212 # on your cell phone keyboard.

Option limitations

“BIT abroad” implies certain features and restrictions that the consumer needs to be aware of:

  • While using the service, there is a daily quota for Internet traffic. After the quota expires, access to the network is blocked until 3 am the next day. At the same time, access to the mobile version of the MTS website and the “Personal Account” service remains free.
  • The package limit counter is reset to zero every day at exactly 3 am. It is worth noting that this time corresponds to the time of the consumer’s “home” region.
  • To obtain accurate information about the status of the service, you need to dial the combination * 111 * 217 # on your cell phone keyboard, and then make a call.
  • If a subscriber uses less than the established traffic over the past day, then from 3 a.m. the next day he will again be credited with the full quota at the maximum speed. The service fee is charged the first time you access the network.

Cancel restrictions

There are several options for removing restrictions:

  • Those users for whom the daily quota is not enough can activate the “Turbo-button abroad”, “Super BIT abroad” or “Maxi BIT abroad” services, which will increase the volume of daily traffic and save on network access.
  • After exceeding the quota, the subscriber can always reactivate the service by dialing * 212 # and making a call. It is worth noting that in this case all access speed restrictions are removed automatically.

How to connect

Activation of the “BIT abroad” option can be done using several methods:

  • Contact the MTS consumer service center with a request to activate the option.
  • Create a USSD request on the device keyboard with the following content - * 111 * 2222 #.
  • Send a message to the short number 111, indicate the numbers 2222 in the text of the message.
  • Use the “Personal Account” service, where in the “Tariffs” column the user can edit tariff options.

It is worth noting that this option will be available to consumers of all tariffs, except for the “Caring” and “Cool” tariff plans. The option is not provided for them. The traffic package will be selected automatically by the operator, depending on the location of the consumer.

In the event that during the current day the user never used the option’s traffic, then the daily payment will not be charged.

How to turn off

You can disconnect from the “BIT Abroad” service in several ways:

  • Contact the customer service center to disable the service.
  • Create a request on the device keyboard with the following content: * 111 * 2222 #.
  • Create an SMS message with the numbers 22220 and send it to the short number 111.
  • Through the “Personal Account” on the mts.ru website, go to the “Tariffs” tab and change your tariff plan to any other suitable one.

The offer is valid for subscribers of all tariff plans that do not contain “Cool” or “Caring” in their names.

The options in the “BIT Abroad” line are mutually exclusive with each other and with the “Foreign” option.

The daily fee is debited only upon the first Internet session from the moment the option is activated for the current day (the period from 0:00 of the current day to 0:00 of the next day according to the time of the subscriber’s home region). If you activated the option, but did not use the Internet while roaming, the daily fee will not be charged.

To charge for the option, the tariff specified for the country of the operator in whose network the Internet session was carried out is applied, regardless of the country of actual location of the subscriber.

In case of moving within a day from country to country with different traffic limits, the provision of a daily traffic limit and the debiting of the option fee occurs in each country in accordance with the terms of the option. If you move within 24 hours from a country to a country with the same limits or return to a country in which the fee for the option was charged for the current day, the daily traffic limit continues to apply, and the fee for the option is not charged again. In case of moving with the “Super BIT abroad” option in an area with an unlimited traffic limit from one of the following country groups to another, the fee for the option is charged: group 1 (Israel, Tajikistan, Bulgaria, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Romania, Slovakia, Taiwan, Sri Lanka, Tunisia), Group 2 (Italy, Thailand, UAE, Lithuania, Latvia, Portugal, USA, Canada, Ukraine, Spain, India), Group 3 (other countries in this zone).

If you have activated the option, but use the Internet in Russia or in your home region, and not abroad, the Internet is charged in accordance with your tariff plan. If the “Internet restriction in international roaming” service is activated on your number, then when connecting options of the BIT line abroad, the “Internet restriction in international roaming” service will automatically be disabled, the GPRS-/EDGE-/3G-roaming service when traveling abroad and on trips in Russia, where there is no MTS network, will be provided according to the terms of the BIT line option abroad.

The options include Internet via access points (APN): internet.mts.ru, wap.mts.ru, blackberry.net; Traffic via other APNs is not included in this option.

You can use the option to access the Internet when traveling abroad if you have connected the free services “Easy Roaming and International Access”, or “Easy Roaming and International Access 2012”, or “International and National Roaming” and “Mobile Internet”. To check the availability of these services, use your Personal Account. Due to the fact that communication services are provided on the network of roaming partners, in case of significant load on the network, the operator reserves the right to limit the speed of the mobile Internet.

When using this option, there is a daily traffic limit. After the limit is exhausted, Internet access is limited until 0:00 of the next day. If the limit is exhausted, you can use the mobile versions of your Personal Account and the MTS website for free.

The limit counter is reset at 0:00 every day (according to the time of the subscriber’s home region). You can get information about the current status of options in the My MTS application or on the website i.mts.ru.

If you have used less than the established limit for the current day, from 0:00 the next day you will again have access to the full amount at maximum speed. During the first Internet session in the next 24 hours, the daily Internet access fee will be charged.
The indicated cost of options is valid from August 28, 2018.

International or long-distance roaming requires serious financial investments from the user. Each subscriber tries to find the most suitable option without compromising the balance. The Internet deserves special attention, when abroad 40 KB of traffic will cost MTS clients 30 rubles. But this amount of traffic is not enough even to fully open a website page, not to mention communication or video calling. The fee may increase depending on the specific country where the user plans to travel. This was also noticed by the mobile operator, which is trying to offer the most favorable terms of service outside the country. An excellent internet option is implemented here "Beat Abroad" , which has its own characteristics in operation, activation and deactivation.

Available Features

The peculiarity is that here the cellular operator MTS offers users several varieties at once:

All these areas of service are provided to subscribers MTS if necessary, stay in touch with your friends on social networks, send emails and use other Internet connection options. It is worth noting that even the volume of traffic indicated above may not be enough to surf web resources. In this case, paid Internet options can be activated several more times. In addition, there is an alternative option - to use "Turbo button" Abroad. But first you need to consider all the existing conditions "Beat Abroad" .

Terms of service

This service can be used by all MTS subscribers on any tariff offers, with the exception of those that have "Cool", "Caring". The fee will be debited from the balance only if the user has accessed the Internet in any way during the time period from 00.00 to 00.00 hours. That is, in the absence of using a paid option, no one will force you to pay a fee for each day of use.

It is worth noting that more problems will arise in terms of cost if you move from one country to another within 24 hours and use Internet access, when they differ in the amount of traffic provided and the price category. In this case, you will have to pay for both directions and provide all the conditions again. If countries are included in the same category, you will not have to make any additional payments.

The service can be activated, but Internet access is provided in Russia or outside the home region. Here the tariff offer option is taken into account.

"Beat Abroad" and service “Internet restrictions in international roaming” are mutually exclusive. That is, when one of them is connected, the other is automatically deactivated.

The user agreement contains a clause indicating the company's right MTS limit data transfer speed due to increased loads. This is also due to the fact that networks of roaming partners are used to access the Internet.

Set restrictions

Please note that there is a daily traffic quota for the option. As soon as it is completely reduced, access is limited until a new billing period begins, that is, until 00.00 hours. But at the same time, your personal account remains available on the official website of the cellular operator MTS.

Everyone has the right to take advantage of the opportunity to obtain information about the status of the connected “Bit Abroad” option. To do this, you need to type on the keyboard of your mobile phone *111*217# and press the call button.

If all traffic provided under the offer has not been used up during the current day MTS, it will be reset at 00.00 hours. There are no restrictions on data transfer speed. It is worth noting that when the daily norm is not enough when you are outside of Russia, you can always use additional paid features, including “Super Bit”, “Maxi Bit”, “Turbo Button”. Moreover, each of them is mutually exclusive. That is, when a new package is activated, the previous use is automatically disabled.

Another nuance is the lack of Internet services in Turkmenistan, which you should pay attention to when traveling to this country.

Activation and deactivation

To connect to the Internet service, the user must use the USSD command *111*2222# . The offer can be refused in the same way. In addition, there is an alternative option for this - *212#. As an option to activate “Bit Abroad” you can send to a short number 111 message with the text " 2222 " To get rid of the option and not use Internet access, you can send a message with the text “ 22220 » to the specified short number 111 .

All options for manipulating services can be carried out in the user’s personal account on the official resource of the MTS company. In addition, it will remain available even when the traffic quota for Internet access expires.

The 21st century subscriber needs not so much calls as Internet traffic - post new photos, scroll through your social media feed, read the latest news, put “likes” on friends’ posts. Moreover, the Internet is needed not only in Russia, but also in foreign countries. When you are abroad, the “BIT abroad” option from MTS and its closest analogues from the group of the same name will help out. These are the ones we will look at in our review.

We will cover three options in total:

  • “BIT abroad” is the most affordable option.
  • “Maxi BIT Abroad” – for those who need increased traffic volumes.
  • “Super BIT Abroad” – for the most demanding subscribers.

Our review will help you choose the most suitable option.

Detailed overview of options

If you look at the description of your tariff, any tariff at that, you will notice the high cost of Internet traffic in international roaming. The exception is the “SMART Zabugorishche” tariff plan with included foreign traffic. The “BIT abroad” group of options will allow you to reduce prices. It includes three special offers for travelers to foreign countries. Let's look at them in more detail.

Option "BIT abroad"

The first option has the same name as the entire group. It provides unlimited Internet in most popular destinations - Bulgaria, India, Canada, Kazakhstan, Poland, UAE, Finland, Czech Republic, Japan, South Korea, Australia, Belarus, Belgium, Israel, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Thailand, Tajikistan, Turkey , France, Montenegro, Switzerland, Abkhazia, Great Britain, Greece, Germany, Armenia, Georgia, Ukraine, USA and some other countries (let's call them the first group). The first 100 MB per day are available at maximum speed, then the limit is activated to 128 kbit/sec. The monthly fee is 450 rubles/day.

In countries such as Azerbaijan, Denmark, Uzbekistan, Morocco, Moldova, Gibraltar, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Faroe Islands, as well as the Isles of Man and Guernsey (let's call them the second group), the daily limit is only 30 MB. The subscription fee is 550 rubles/day. In all other countries (third group), the Internet traffic limit is only 5 MB, with a monthly fee of 1,300 rubles/day.

The fourth group included countries such as the Maldives, Cameroon, Zimbabwe, Guyana, Bolivia, Bhutan, Venezuela, Jamaica, Chad, Mauritania, Nepal, Macau, Madagascar, Lebanon, Guadeloupe, Iceland, Guam, Cote d'Ivoire, Philippines, Senegal, Tanzania, Cape Verde, Trinidad and Tobago. Here the limit is very tiny - 1 MB for 1,500 rubles/day. Similar conditions apply when roaming on airplanes and ships.

To connect “BIT abroad” from MTS, dial the USSD command *111*2222# or look into your personal account. The subscription fee is charged upon access to the Internet. If there was no access to the network during the current day, the money remains in place. The day is calculated according to Moscow time, and not according to the time of the subscriber’s location - remember this feature. To disable “BIT abroad” on MTS, type a similar command.

Option “Maxi BIT abroad”

Here the prices and conditions are:

  • The first group of countries – unlimited for 700 rubles/day. The first 200 MB are provided at maximum speed, then the limit is up to 128 kbps.
  • The second group of countries – 70 MB for 1000 rubles/day.
  • The third group of countries – 10 MB for 2400 rubles/day.
  • Fourth – 1 MB for 1500 rubles/day.

Connection and disconnection are performed using the USSD command *111*2223# or through your personal account. The “Maxi BIT Abroad” option from MTS is aimed at medium-active subscribers.

Option “Super BIT abroad”

The limits here are higher, but the subscription fee is also higher:

  • The first group - there is a real unlimited speed limit for 1600 rubles/day. Expensive, but you don’t need to think about limits;
  • The second group – 200 MB for 2000 rubles/day, one megabyte costs only 10 rubles;
  • Third group – 20 MB for 4,500 rubles/day. Expensive, but if there is no other choice, you will have to use it - do not forget to disable automatic software updates;
  • The fourth group is the same 1 MB for 1500 rubles/day.

To connect and disconnect, use your MTS personal account or USSD command *111*2224#.

Traffic extension

The “BIT Abroad” service from MTS (or rather, an option) offers relatively favorable conditions for Internet access in the territories of foreign countries. If you don't want to spend a lot of money, save traffic or use public access points. But remember that free Wi-Fi (as well as paid) is extremely rare in undeveloped countries.

If you need real foreign unlimited, use the “Super BIT Abroad” option. Here MTS provides unlimited traffic without any restrictions. Such conditions are beneficial for the most active subscribers and business people who have no time to monitor limits. True, if there is a serious load on guest networks, they have the right to slightly limit the speed - there is no escape from this. Therefore, you won’t be able to download torrents and movies. But for surfing, mail, working with documents and social networks, this is quite enough.

If necessary, the traffic limit can be increased in the following ways:

  • Reconnecting the option used.
  • Upgrading to an older version.
  • By enabling the “Turbo button abroad” option.

You can choose almost any available option.

Almost - because the last option has serious drawbacks. “Turbo button abroad” provides only 30 MB of traffic, and in a limited number of countries - this is all of Europe, except Iceland and Andorra, Saudi Arabia, Australia, Japan, Tunisia, Singapore, Malaysia, India, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, South Korea, Taiwan, Vietnam, Israel, Canada, Thailand, UAE, Georgia, Egypt, China (except Macau), Turkey, Morocco, Abkhazia and the USA. In other countries, as well as in satellite networks, on ships and airplanes, it does not turn on.

The “Turbo button abroad” from MTS is activated using the USSD command *111*485#. Its cost is 450 rubles. It is compatible with all tariff plans and options.
