You can feel a low edge around the screen, which protects it from scratches if you place the smartphone face down. The case has a non-separable design: the back and sides are made of rubberized plastic, and the front surface is tightly covered with glass, and the screen has a dark blue tint, which adds a certain amount of charm to the Fly IQ4412 Quad Coral. Reviews regarding the design of the gadget are mostly positive. The owners appreciated the modern and rather “fresh” appearance of the device along with its acceptable dimensions.

In a normal room where lamps are on daylight, you can notice how the gradation of the backlight changes from dim to very bright for no apparent reason. This is a little annoying, but you can always turn off auto-adjustment in the settings, so this point can hardly be called critical.
The touch screen correctly detects all five simultaneous touches and also has good sensitivity. The surface is pleasant to the touch, and your finger glides over it easily - it’s a pleasure to work with the sensor. Controlling the Coral Fly IQ4412 Quad on a sunny day is not so easy. Features and performance
Technical Quad Coral are at an average level - nothing supernatural, but you can have fun playing games or your favorite movie without any problems. The already familiar Mediatek processor of the MTK6589 series marked “Turbo” is responsible for the performance. All this works for four cores at 1.5 GHz and paired with one gigabyte random access memory. Unlike previous episodes, where clock frequency did not exceed 1.2 GHz, the processor can be called quite fast.
The graphics component is controlled by the PowerVR SGX 544MP video chip, which more or less copes with demanding applications. The phone does not have much built-in memory - only 16 GB, but the fact that the brand did not provide for working with memory cards is a big minus. Reviews from owners are full of indignation about this, especially since the previous generation had this opportunity.
Camera
The Coral Fly IQ4412 Quad has a main 8 MP camera with LED flash and autofocus, as well as a front camera with more modest performance (5 MP). The maximum resolution for video recording is 1920 x 1080 pixels. The photographs are of decent quality without any serious complaints.
The menu offers many modes, effects and other settings for better shooting. The flash works as it should: photos are not overexposed or blurred. In general, users are very satisfied with the standard camera, and no critical points were noticed in the reviews.

Summarizing
The device as a whole turned out to be very successful: an upgraded processor, a practical and pleasant body material, an acceptable screen diagonal and good time battery life. The only thing that disappoints is the lack of support for microSD cards.
However, the price-quality ratio is somewhat unbalanced. For a similar price, which is almost 10 thousand rubles, you can look for more sensible models: with a better matrix, support for memory cards and long battery life. In any case, fans of the brand will probably like the smartphone, so it’s up to you to decide whether to stay with Fly or switch to some Samsung or Xiaomi. Fortunately, the assortment in distribution networks is, without exaggeration, huge, and there is always plenty to choose from.

Design and ergonomics
Unlike its predecessors, the new product has a thin body without protruding elements. Working with mechanical keys is convenient; they are easy to feel blindly due to the sharp edges. The key stroke is short and moderately tight with a characteristic click when activated.
On the back, an eye-catching element is the 8 MP camera lens framed by a metal frame. There is an LED underneath and a microphone hole above it. At the bottom end there are many holes for a multimedia speaker.
Apart from the folding flap covering the SIM card slot, the case does not have collapsible parts. Because of this, it will not be possible to get to the battery. Despite the seemingly drawback, this solution definitely looks better than a removable panel that provides access solely to the SIM card slot (a similar design is used in the Fly IQ444 Diamond and Fly IQ444 Diamond 2), while you will need a screwdriver to remove the battery. The quality of assembly and fitting of parts is excellent. The case does not creak when twisted or squeezed. Fingerprints on plastic are hardly noticeable, and on glass a high-quality oleophobic coating resists their appearance.
Operating system and shell
The smartphone received a more current version of Android, now 4.2, and a new type of menu with settings. Otherwise, we have a typical Android interface with all the capabilities inherent in this version of the operating system.
The lock screen allows you to launch the camera or go to the notification panel. The number of available widgets is standard.
The desktop consists of five windows. From additional features except for installing wallpaper through a file manager.
The dialer supports searching for contacts in Cyrillic.

As we have already said, the Fly IQ4412 uses the same Super AMOLED matrix as the Fly Diamond of the first and second generations, as well as the smartphone Samsung Galaxy Nexus. The only difference is that the diagonal has been increased from 4.65 inches. The display characteristics are as follows: 4.77-inch diagonal, resolution 1280x720 pixels, pixel density 309 PPI.
The display has wide viewing angles and a high-quality anti-glare layer. Like all OLED matrices, the screen displays black color as realistically as possible, but has a noticeable excess in color saturation. Brightness is adjustable from 25 cd/m2 to 287 cd/m2 (at 10% white display). The value of 50% corresponds to 150 cd/m2.
A check of the factory calibration revealed the following features of the matrix: the gamma curve is equal to 2.2, the color temperature is 7500-8000 K, which is noticeably higher than the norm of 6500 K, but is typical for a large number of displays in the entry-level and mid-price segments.

Fly IQ4412 is the company’s first smartphone with a 5 MP front camera. The main resolution is 8 megapixels. Camera settings allow you to set ISO value, sharpness, saturation, contrast, select one of several modes, and so on. For some reason, the developers decided to abandon classic HDR (the Fly IQ453 has an HDR mode) in favor of exposure bracketing: the camera takes three pictures with different exposures, allowing you to save any of them or all three.
Photo and video quality is average. The category of people who like to take pictures of themselves with a smartphone should like the fact that the front resolution is 5 megapixels - which is quite a lot.
