How to determine that a page on Odnoklassniki has been blocked by scammers?

And it was like this. The daughter was surfing the Internet on her computer, downloading some videos from YouTube, and was somewhere else. That's it, then she went to bed, and my wife sat down at the computer. I was peacefully writing another article about. My wife tried to log into my classmates and said: “They won’t let me into my account, go and look.” When I tried to log into the Odnoklassniki website, the following message appeared:

• Secondly, I opened Odnoklassniki not from the bookmarks page, but typed it into Yandex and followed the link to the site. The result is the same - blocked.

There is nothing to do, I indicated a phone number. Immediately I received a text message from short number 5537 as follows:

But I didn’t send anything to anyone.

As far as I know, no administration that respects itself or its users asks to send SMS messages. This is clearly a setup. This has always been unclear to me: why ask to send an SMS if the computer is in front of your nose.
Representatives of the real administration (or their security system) will send you a confirmation code to your phone, which you must enter in the required field on the website page. That's it, no return SMS.

So, after I was asked to send an SMS, I thought of opening the blocked Odnoklassniki page not on this computer, but on my laptop. Everything opened perfectly - no blockages!

Now it has finally become clear that there is a virus on the computer, or a Trojan, or a phishing link, or whatever else happens. I don’t know, in short, what it’s called. But I found out one thing for sure: this event has nothing to do with the actual blocking of an account on Odnoklassniki.

Naturally, I didn’t send any SMS.

Consequences of false blocking in Odnoklassniki

After it became clear that the Odnoklassniki page was not blocked, I went online. And this is what I found out.

The most common consequences of false blocking are withdrawal of money from the phone account after sending SMS. The amount is not small - from 200 rubles. up to 600 rub. There is no point in trying to get this money back. Write to the administration of Odnoklassniki or yours mobile operator- Same. No one will pay for someone else's stupidity and gullibility.
Although I have seen reviews that this can be done: you need to immediately call somewhere, find out something, follow the link, download some program. But I believe that these are either paid reviews, or links lead to the same scams, or to infected sites.

Another option for the development of events is a real hacking of your account and sending spam from it. But it seems that this is not my case. Because I was not asked to confirm (enter) my password (nickname, email). This seems to be called phishing.

In my case, they just wanted to “make money the easy way.”

I also had to use it, because the scammers did not add anything to my hosts file: my file turned out to be completely empty. That is, pure - 0 bytes. I don’t know, I didn’t find anything about this on the Internet, but I still used this method - something had to be done. And you know, it helped! Odnoklassniki opened and unblocked.

The third method is to scan and treat your computer with an antivirus program. I don't know about others (Kaspersky and others), but Dr.Web CureIt! cured. The program is free to use for a month. Then, probably, demolish and re-upload.

Free program Dr.Web CureIt! is intended to cure only home computers (for home use, so to speak). There is also a paid one - for office computers. To use the free Internet, you must agree to send a report about the healing of your PC. This is so that they can adjust further developments.

The downloaded utility file will have a meaningless name. I downloaded a file with the following name: jad3apr6.exe. Don't let this confuse you - the icon of this file is still Veb's - a green spider. With this meaningless name, the antivirus is encrypted from viruses already on your computer. Otherwise, they simply will not allow the program to load.

In general, the algorithm of your actions is as follows:

1. Agree to send the report
2. Download the Dr.Web CureIt!
3. Launch it
4. Waiting (it took me a little over an hour)
