Modem megaphone 4 g m100. Why customers choose Porotherm blocks

Friends, I am glad to welcome you again! The other day I was faced with the question of how to unlock a 4g megaphone modem in order to receive the Internet through any SIM cards. I had to sit for half a day, but still managed to unlock the modem. Now I'll tell you how I did it.

In general, the operator hands out a megaphone good internet, but now the Tele2 operator has done convenient rates and I use their Internet. What should I do now, buy a Tele2 device or find a way to unlock the Megaphone 4g modem? Of course the second option.

If in USB device megaphone insert a SIM card from another operator, you will be given the opportunity to enter the unlock code and unlock this modem so that it works with any SIM cards. You have ten attempts to enter the code. But where can I get this code?

There is no need to try to guess it, because after the tenth attempt the modem will be blocked. I found several options on the Internet to get an unlock code, all of them are too complicated, using some programs, both paid and free.

It turns out that all the USB devices that we have are made in China by Huawei, so to unlock them you need to use utilities for gadgets from this particular company.

And so, let's start unlocking the 4G megaphone modem. First you need to download this program to your computer Huawei Unlock Code Calculator.

Now you launch it and here you need to enter the IMEI of your modem. You will find it on the inside of the lid. Remove the cover from the USB device and you will immediately see the IMEI.

Write this number and click on the “Calk” button. The program will display code numbers V1, V2 and V201. Now insert the SIM card into the USB modem and connect it to the computer. If you have not yet installed the megaphone Internet management program, it will be installed automatically.

In the upper right corner I now have a field to enter the unlock code. First I entered the V1 code, but it turned out to be incorrect. Then I entered the V2 code and it was also incorrect. But when I entered the code V201, Tele2 Internet appeared via a USB device from the Megafon operator.

That's all, I told you how to unlock a 4g megaphone modem and there was nothing complicated in my method. The program that needs to be downloaded is lightweight and easy to download and run; when you enter the IMEI, it instantly produces unlock codes.

And the USB modem itself instantly flashes for all operators when the code is entered correctly. Therefore, I recommend using this simple and free method.

The Megafon M100-1 modem “rises” on Ubuntu without problems, starting at least with version Ubuntu 12.04. Just plug it into USB and after 10-20 seconds you can create a connection through Network Manager. However, there may be a problem with low Internet speed. This can happen because the modem is configured to connect only to 2G (GSM) or 3G (HSDPA). Or in auto mode, it selects the connection type with a stronger signal (and lower speed).

Under Windows, this problem can be solved by changing the settings in the Megafon Internet program. But this program cannot be installed on Ubuntu.

There is a way out, you just need to send the required AT command to the modem. And this can be done through the minicom program, which is in the Ubuntu universe repository.

Step one

You need to make sure that Megafon M100-1 is correctly identified and connected to the system. In the terminal you need to run the command

ls /dev/ttyU*

The command output should produce three devices: /dev/ttyUSB0, /dev/ttyUSB1 and /dev/ttyUSB2. To work with the modem, you will need the /dev/ttyUSB2 device - this is the modem control port.

Step two

You need to install minicom (it doesn't come out of the box). Then run it with the command:

minicom -s

This is starting in setup mode. In this mode, you need to specify the device /dev/ttyUSB2 in the serial port settings. Then save the settings as dfl and exit the setup mode.

Then, in terminal mode, you can work with the modem. First of all, check the connection to the modem with the command

It should output something like this:

Manufacturer: LLC Yota Devices Model: MegaFon M100-1 Revision: MF1.07_1KY_01

AT^QCNCFG?

The answer will be: "00" or another number - 01, 02, 03.

If the output contains the number 03, then the connection mode is already set to 4G (LTE) and the reason for the low speed is different. But in the case of numbers 00 or 01, you can switch the modem to 4G (LTE) mode.

This is done with the command:

AT^QCNCFG=03

Summary

The modem is discussed in detail in this forum

Around November 2012, the first reviews of a 4G USB modem from Megafon, Megafon M100-1, appeared online. At that time, 4G/LTE technologies were just beginning to develop in Russia and the device, naturally, aroused interest from users. Megaphone M100-1 was manufactured by Yota Devices LLC (this information can be viewed using the AT command - ATI, Yota will be indicated in the Manufacturer field), which immediately leads us to think about the similarity with the LTE modem from this company, as in appearance both the design elements of the case and, possibly, the hardware. As the popular resource Mobile-review.com writes: “True, the manufacturer of the Yota LTE modem is Quanta Computer Inc, and the MegaFon M100-1 universal modem was produced by Tech-Giant Computer Co. But both companies (Quanta and Tech-Giant) are registered under "to the same legal address in Shanghai, so it is possible that the structural unit was separated into a separate company or some other administrative event happened."

However, this article will focus specifically on Megafon M100-1. Specifications The modem is quite standard - the modem operates in GSM/GPRS/EDGE networks with frequencies of 850/900/1800/1900 MHz, UMTS/DC HSPA+ - 900/2100 MHz and LTE - 800/2600 MHz. The maximum speed of data reception by the modem in LTE/4G networks is up to 100 Mbit/s, transmission speed is up to 50 Mbit/sec. In reality, everything depends on the quality of coverage and the technical capabilities of the operator’s network. From " design features" can indicate the rotating mount of the USB connector, which is visible in the photo, thanks to which the modem can easily be installed in a hard-to-reach USB connector of a laptop or router, as well as the presence of microUSB for connecting to a PC using a cable.

The photo above shows the M100-1 modems from Megafon (white) and the LTE modem from Yota. As you can see, they are really similar. The M100-1 modem is a regular stick modem. After connecting the modem to the PC and installing Megafon's proprietary software - Megafon Internet (Connect Manager), you can immediately connect to the Internet. Please note that to access the Internet you will also need a microSIM form factor SIM card with 4G/LTE support; if your SIM card does not support 4G, then the modem will only be able to work in 2G or 3G networks.

Like all branded operator devices, the modem is by default blocked to use SIM cards only from the Megafon operator. When you try to install a SIM card from another operator into the modem, the message “Replace SIM card” appears in the standard software for connecting to the Internet:

However, the modem manufacturer has provided a standard ability to unlock Megafon M100-1 using a network unlock code (NCK code). Entering the unlock code is quite easy; for this we will need any terminal program, for example, as well as the NCK code itself, which you can get on our trading platform. The following video, kindly provided by our partners, clearly shows the process of entering the NCK code into the Megafon M100-1 modem:

Porotherm (Wienerberger). Destroying myths about warm ceramics. Issue No. 3

Porotherm ceramic blocks are a strong and reliable material on which you can attach anything. Despite their apparent fragility, porous blocks are able to withstand any load, from a painting on the wall to batteries and air conditioners. The main thing is to choose the right fasteners.

If the load is not heavy, then a regular dowel will do. For heavy elements, it is recommended to use chemical anchors, for example Porotherm WallFix.

Warm ceramics is a material with excellent thermal insulation properties. Porotherm retains heat 2 times better than solid building bricks.

Through an ordinary brick wall, heat leaves the house 2 times faster than through a wall made of Porotherm blocks. Video evidence is presented in the video and leaves no doubt.

Masonry made from Porotherm blocks also shows good wind performance. If you still doubt the reliability of porous blocks, be sure to watch this video.
