Loads pages slowly. Pages take a long time to load in the browser: all possible reasons and solutions. Third party virus extensions

We cannot imagine today without the Internet. And indeed, we can’t even leave the house until we look at the weather forecast or traffic jams on the service of the same name. For many others, the World Wide Web is a huge and main source of information, which no encyclopedia can compete with. But there are people in the world who even earn their living using the Internet...

In general, it’s not for us to tell you about this. But what we would like to talk to you about today is the problems arising with the Internet. In particular, we would like to tell you why it suddenly began to work slowly for you. You will find out the reasons right now.

You forgot to pay for the Internet

Indeed, many people simply forget to put cash to your personal account, especially if they need to be deposited not by the first day of each month, but in the middle of it. Some have this feature - if the user has forgotten about payment, they will not be completely disconnected from the system, but will simply limit the maximum speed. Often the same function is present on limit tariffs. If you download a lot and don’t have enough traffic, we recommend changing your tariff plan to unlimited, if such an opportunity exists.

Problems on the provider side

Providers can change equipment. This is not always accompanied by a complete shutdown of the Internet; often its speed is simply reduced, if possible. This often happens due to breakdowns, which, by the way, your provider may be completely unaware of until you inform him about it.

If the problem is not solved within one or two days, then you can safely write a complaint, although a more effective solution may be to change the Internet provider in your apartment. But you shouldn’t resort to this right away - force majeure circumstances happen to everyone.

By the way, if the provider has weak equipment and a large number of subscribers, then during peak hours a large load on the system can be created, as a result of which users encounter problems. In such cases, you need to either wait until the Internet provider replaces the equipment, or simply exchange it for another one.

Programs running on computers

So, we found out that there are no problems with the provider and the connection works as it should. Then, first of all, you need to carefully examine running programs on your PC or laptop, which receive or send information. For example, the well-known “ICQ”, which is used for communication. You won’t believe it, but even one such program can completely clog the channel, thereby significantly reducing the connection speed!

However, in reality this rarely happens. But they have been seen doing this more than once. How to fight? There are two ways out: either close the program, or reduce the maximum download speed in the client itself, but even this does not help in all cases.

It's also worth paying attention to all sorts of hidden updates. Yes, yes, that’s right - while you don’t suspect anything, the next update for the operating system is downloaded to your computer Windows systems or for an internet browser. It is at these moments that the speed can drop very significantly. By the way, if we talk about Internet browsers, they often also affect the speed of loading pages or files, and the fault may not be so much the browser itself as the extensions installed for it.

Malicious files

Viruses and Trojans are the scourge of the modern Internet. They are on every second website, and the owner of the resource may not even know about it. Viruses come in a wide variety of varieties: some only substitute for redirecting the user to various websites, others steal usernames and passwords from social networks or bank cards, and still others launch DDoS attacks on third party computer. Well, the user doesn’t even know what’s going on on his PC, since it’s almost impossible to notice activity without anti-virus software. All this crap can clog the channel so much that the Internet works at a very low speed.

What should you do if you suspect you have a virus? It's very simple - use the antivirus installed on your PC. What, you don't have it? How do you even go out? world wide web?! Remember once and for all - an antivirus must be installed on your computer. Even if it's free, most of it anyway malicious files he can weed it out. A free antiviruses Almost all famous manufacturers offer them.

So, the antivirus is installed. What's next? Next you need to scan your system. In addition, use special utility from Kaspersy or Dr.Web Cureit. The latter is a powerful anti-virus software that can easily and effortlessly detect a Trojan or virus. The utility is distributed free of charge, however, the developers require automatic reports to be sent after verification. There is nothing scary about this.

Blocking by Firewall

If you cannot open a particular site or its loading speed is very low, although it loads instantly from another PC, then the problem may lie in the presence of a firewall. It can be either built into operating system, and in antivirus. Try to get to the settings and see if this site is on the blocked list. If so, it will need to be removed from there or moved to the exclusion list.

This happens quite rarely, but it does occur, so this case also cannot be discounted.

Removing temporary and unnecessary files

In this case, we are talking about the cache in browsers, as well as registry entries that for some reason remain after uninstalling a particular program. In both cases, you can delete files manually, but this is often inconvenient and time-consuming. Therefore, we advise you to use special removal utilities, which are distributed free of charge. One such utility is CCleaner. We will talk about it in one of our upcoming articles, but in the meantime we advise you to read about its capabilities on the official website.

Problems with the router

If you use a router to receive communications, then your difficulties may be associated with this small device. The fact is that the speed is often greatly reduced. This happens, for example, in the event of a failure or overheating of the device. Try resetting your device again. This can help.

Have you encountered a similar problem and already solved it? Don't forget to tell us about it!

So, I'll start from afar. About a month ago my Internet connection suddenly deteriorated. Pages began to load for a very long time, or rather endlessly. I had to click on reboot (ctrl+R or Ctrl+F5). This, of course, helped, but working at the computer was not so pleasant. I think you understand me.

In addition, the plugin from , which I often look at, also stopped working normally: during the day it showed site statistics, and in the evening it started loading endlessly...

At first I thought the problem was with my . I use google chrome. I reinstalled it. But it didn't help me. Then, for the sake of experiment, I installed Yandex browser, Mozilla, and even Amigo on my computer

They all worked equally terribly :-(

Then I thought, maybe the network cable is acting up, maybe the wires have moved a little away from the connector. I am an engineer by training in the field information technologies, therefore, what is an RG-45 connector and how to crimp it correctly twisted pair, I know. There is even the appropriate equipment.

It was even interesting for me to remember all this. The last time I did this was at the university laboratory work on information systems.

Of course, everything worked out for me. But the pages also took a long time to open :- (

And the next day or two days later, I don’t remember exactly, everything improved by itself. I thought, “Well, great. I probably somehow corrected the situation, but I don’t know how.”

It happens: you try to fix a problem in many ways, and when it works, you don’t know what exactly helped. Here, chance and luck cannot be ruled out.

I forgot about this problem for about a month until it returned. In general, I was inclined to think that this computer was already old and was starting to glitch because of this. Therefore, I did not actively try to eliminate these “glitches”. I temporarily resigned myself.

And one fine day I decided to write an article “”. I wrote it. I started taking the necessary screenshots, but I couldn’t take one screenshot because the P3 plugin (Plugin Performance Profiler) couldn’t produce results due to these slowdowns. This stressed me out quite a lot.

I said to myself: “Ruslan, it’s time to solve this problem, it’s really pissing me off!” I went to Yandex search - maybe it will help. Mostly I came across sites with advertising various programs- antiviruses to combat advertising and viruses. But there were also normal blog sites in which the authors gave their instructions for action.

  1. Clean drive C from unnecessary programs
  2. Clean all junk and registry with ccleaner utility
  3. See what autostarts in the system and remove unnecessary things
  4. Check for viruses with MalwareBytes. They offered other programs, but this one is a little familiar to me, so I chose it.
  5. All! Should work fine after reboot.

It is quite possible that by completing one of the four steps, everything will work for you right away and the pages will load quickly.

But I recommend doing all the steps one by one. If you know a little about computers, then you can clearly see that this instruction does not just solve the problem of loading Internet pages, but comprehensively optimizes the operation of your computer. Therefore, it is useful to perform this procedure once a week or at least once a month.

Let's go through all the points.

Clean up drive C

Honestly, I didn’t do this. I have free space There's a lot on the C drive, so that couldn't be the reason. I am very particular about both the programs I install on my PC and the plugins activated on my blog.

If you don't know how to do this, I'll explain a little. Go to “Start” - “control panel”. In Control Panel, look for the Add/Remove Programs icon (or something similar). A list of all programs installed on your PC will open.

Opposite each program will be displayed the amount of memory it occupies. Sort by size and remove programs that take up a lot of space and are not needed by you. It's simple.

Cleaning with CCleaner

CCleaner is a fairly well-known utility for cleaning junk on your computer. If you don't have it yet, download it from the Internet. It is freely available, there is a free version.

Install it according to the “next-next-next” principle. Launch the program. In the “cleaning” tab, first click on the “analysis” button, then on the “cleaning” button. I didn't change anything in the settings. I left all the checkboxes as they are. Only in the section for Internet Explorer I checked all the boxes manually, since I don’t use it at all.

In this way, I removed about 7 GB of junk from my computer. That's a lot.

Then go to the "registry" section. Click on “Search for problems”, then “fix”. You will be prompted to save a file with problematic entries. Save just in case - sometimes it's better to be safe than sorry. Most likely, a lot of problems will be found, so I recommend clicking on the “fix marked” button.

View autorun

By the way, it’s very convenient to see that it autostarts in the system using the same CCleaner. That's exactly what I did.

There is, of course, another way. Click “Start” - “Run”. Enter the Msconfig command in the field.

A program will launch in which you can easily see the programs that start with Windows and, if necessary, disable some of them.

But I decided to do everything through CCleaner, especially since it was already running. In the “service” tab there are sub-items:

  • uninstalling programs
  • disk analysis
  • search for duplicates
  • System Restore
  • erasing disks

As you can see, we could perform the removal using the same utility. It turns out that for the first three points of the plan you can use this one utility.

Now we need the “autoload” sub-item. Look at the entire list and find unimportant programs. To exclude an unimportant program from startup, click on the line corresponding to it, the “turn off” button will be activated on the right, use it.

I understand that an inexperienced user is unlikely to risk changing anything. But if you are afraid of something, then just remember what you are doing, you can write it down on a piece of paper just in case, so that you will be calmer.

I haven’t been afraid to tinker with the computer for a long time; I already have experience. Although sometimes I work by trial and error

I also recorded a video on how to use this utility.

Virus scanning with MalwareBytes

This program was more difficult to download. But if you really need it, just like I once did, then you can handle it.

I downloaded free version. I installed it and ran the test. We had to wait about 25-30 minutes. As a result, 3 viruses and 4 threats were discovered on my computer. I clicked on the "delete selected" button.

The system told me “a reboot is required for the changes to take effect.”

After rebooting, my beloved computer finally made me happy. I went online and didn't notice any lag: pages loaded quickly, plugins also worked perfectly. Overall I was happy. Even a smile involuntarily appeared on his face

Even though it was late at night, I had a charge of positive energy and decided to immediately write an article about it. This will help me remember to clean my computer in the future, and my readers will quickly cope with this problem, and not wait, like me, for a whole month.

In general, AMS Software offers PC users a lot useful programs. You can tell your friends, for example, in in social networks, about this company's products and if you make a sale, you will receive a commission. To do this, register in affiliate program AMS Partner.

That's all. I hope my article was interesting to you and will serve you as a lesson and instructions on how to make Internet pages load quickly in your browser.

Leave comments - let's chat

Bye everyone!

Sincerely! Abdullin Ruslan

Hi all! In this article I want to touch on the topic of website loading. Many people come to me with the question “why and what reasons could there be if the site takes a long time to load?” I decided to write the answer to this question in more detail. And so, let's go.

Very slow internet connection speed

Connecting to global network, and choosing cheap tariff, you may encounter a problem such as long loading pages.

You can note the Internet providers who give you good speed for the Internet, but this only happens until the paid Internet traffic limit runs out. Once it is exhausted, you will still have access to the Internet, but its speed will be significantly lower.

Here are some tips that will allow you to increase your Internet speed.

You can switch to a more expensive tariff that will not limit you, but will differ in maximum speed. You can also disable the display of pictures that take up a lot of memory using the previous tariff. This will lead you to improved memory as well as faster loading of videos.

For example, to disable pictures in Google Chrome, you need to click “Settings” in the upper right corner, find “Personal Data”, go to “Content Settings”, and then in the “Picture” tab check the box next to the “Do not show” function.

Providers always try to work reliably and avoid failures in providing Internet access services. But even the provider cannot give clear reliability about fast and high-quality work. It is worth noting that the provider is not the entire Internet, it is only a small part of the vast world of the network.

First of all, the performance of the network depends on the provider, and on the operation of other network services that are necessary for data transmission. As a rule, the provider himself is able to see all the problems, and therefore tries to get rid of them as quickly as possible. But it also happens that a failure of Internet access occurs at the interface between the provider’s equipment and your equipment.

If we consider wired access to the Internet, then the wire that goes into your apartment may be broken for some reason. The provider does not always notice such an external malfunction, because its diagnostics are not intended for this. This problem can be resolved much faster by personally contacting the provider, informing him that you have discovered a certain type of external problem.

Also, the cause of a malfunction in the Internet may arise from the router that is installed in your apartment. The provider is also unable to notice such nuances, which is why you need to contact technical support to get full advice on how to get rid of this problem.
It can always be noted that problems arise as a result of equipment failure, as a result of preventive maintenance. To do this, you should definitely call technical support and talk to a specialist.

If you use Mobile Internet from operators, then there is no point in asking Internet providers for help. You need to find a place that will provide you with access to the Internet at the speed you need.

If you live in a place where such high-speed access is not available, then you should wait until the provider’s resource is free and you will receive the highest quality Internet connection.

Many users are trying to get high quality internet from mobile operator while in a car or on a train. But in such conditions you definitely will not get high-quality and fast internet. There is no need to demand from your mobile operator what it cannot provide you. He already does everything possible to ensure that you have at least some access to the Internet.

Computer problems

Very often, the reason for a slow Internet connection is not the Internet itself, but the computer through which the connection occurs. A friend had such a case. He complained that the speed of the Internet no longer pleased him and became very slow and unbearable. For an hour and a half he simply could not do anything about it, and then everything resolved itself.

Viruses on your computer

I was simply amazed when I found more than 5 thousand isolated viruses on my computer, which the antivirus neutralized and removed. I can say that the main reason for such slow work was a global virus attack on the computer, which the antivirus was able to destroy. The reason for this was that the PC did not respond to the owner’s commands for almost a year and a half. As a result, the Internet was slow, even though it had nothing to do with the Internet.

Yandex browser - free application to visit Internet resources. Like any other browser, if you use it for a long time, it accumulates various types of information, and this can subsequently negatively affect the operation of the application itself and slow down its operation.

The service also often fails automatic update browser - the version becomes outdated, crashes accumulate, etc. To immediately exclude this option, download the latest version of Yandex Browser from our website or home page search engine. During its installation, the files will be updated and old errors will be eliminated. If the problem is not resolved, read on.

Let's look at several cases and options for solving them.

The first and probably most common option is clearing the history of visited sites, saved forms, and so on. In the upper right corner of the browser, click on the Settings icon, then select History, and in it click the Clear history... button. In the window that appears with cleaning options, put the necessary checkboxes: “Clear history” and “Clear download history.”

Click the Clear history button and see how much the browser has sped up, but if this does not help, then move on to the next point

May work slowly due to accumulated information received from different servers to the browser. This is text data called cookies. They can be cleared by going to the history settings menu item and clicking the Clear history button... A window will appear with the choice of deletion time and deletion parameters (i.e. what to delete), we put a tick on the cookie. Click clear.

But you can apply the CCleaner program to the above methods; it also clears cookies and browser history. This program can be very useful if you have multiple browsers.

Yes, and let’s not forget about the most important option, which is a large number of unnecessary advertisements on websites. We can easily disable it using the ADBLOCK PLUS plugin. After installation, open the Browser Settings, go to Add-ons, look for the Adblock plugin and enable it.

Another option, but this is rare, is a large number of toolbars in the browser. They appear, often due to carelessness during installation different programs. Extra toolbars will need to be removed by right-clicking on the desired toolbar and unchecking it.

The option “the computer is very outdated” has also not been canceled. Therefore, it is worth updating it or lowering the requests to the browser.

Internet speed has virtually no effect on whether your web browser will slow down. How to speed up your browser? There are various optimization options, even an inexperienced user will be able to adjust the speed without installing various special programs. It is enough to periodically “clean” the working device and periodically perform the steps below.

What can cause work to slow down? Google browser Chrome or others? There are several possible reasons:

And these are just the main ones: there may also be a lot of advertising in the browsers themselves, various blocks and unwanted windows constantly appear, it does not change home page. First things first.

Lack of system resources

The device resources may be insufficient due to certain circumstances:

  • If the shortage notification appears immediately after launching the browser, then the issue may be antivirus program, which blocks the web browser. If it is safe, you should add it to the security software exceptions (for non-standard browsers);
  • If the paging file is deactivated on your PC or system disk There is no more than 2 GB of free space left - this will cause an error. You should create a paging file, and set its value using the “Auto-detection” function (the system itself will figure out how many resources it lacks);
  • Sometimes the reason lies in the fact that the hardware resources are really not enough to load the contents of the browser (if the PC is very old or a large number of different programs are running at the same time).

You should also not forget about cleaning startup, which, when neglected when Windows starts, immediately loads the system to the limit.

Problems with the operating system

Similar problems can arise if there is no network connection or firewall settings do not allow the system to actively operate on the Internet.

  • Browser not functioning properly.

Often, problems with the browser can occur due to watching long videos or activating time-consuming processes. Sometimes it is enough to reinstall your web browser.

  • System shortcomings due to driver problems.

This applies to devices with Nvidia graphics cards, as well as when using two or more displays. To solve it, just roll back the driver versions to the previous ones.

  • Incorrect Wi-Fi operation.

If all browser pages load poorly, then you should simply restart your PC. However, you can deactivate the function public access To wireless connection, it is installed on the system by default. Using this option, you can make the connection more stylish.

How to speed up your web browser

Often, users who constantly work on the Internet through Yandex, Google and other browsers notice that they begin to slow down. Such problems are associated with various nuances that affect efficiency and speed.

Checking Internet connection speed

The network connection speed test is a special test that allows you to find out the speed of information transfer. It is measured by transferring a certain amount of information from your computer to the service server for verification, and then in the opposite direction. At this moment, the average data transmission speed per second of time is calculated.

It is best to disable the software used for downloading (torrents, FTP clients) during such tests. email clients, various messengers and more. It is better to take the test several times and check the information received.

Anti-virus scan

If you need to check for virus software when braking, you need to know about the following:

  • Or you will have to install an antivirus or a module that contains antivirus database or connected to the cloud, or upload suspicious files to a special service (the first option is simpler and more reliable);
  • Additional scanning modules do not conflict with existing antiviruses.

The most important thing is to use proven antivirus programs.

Disabling plugins

If the browser is stuffed with different extensions, this can affect its speed. How to deactivate them? Let's look at Google Chrome as an example:

It should be noted that many extensions are updated along with the browser, for example Flash Player. Browsers themselves notify you about the required download of updates for various extensions. At the top right of the screen there is the inscription “More details”; after clicking on it, information about the add-ons will be displayed - their location on the PC, name and parameters.

Clearing cache memory

When a user uses a browser, such as Firefox or Chrome, some information about the pages visited is stored in cache memory and cookies. Erasing this information will allow you to get rid of various problems with web resources (as well as loading and performance when loading pages).

Using Google Chrome as an example, we should consider the cleaning process:

  • Click on the “Ellipsis” button at the top right;
  • Go to " Additional tools" - "Deleting data about viewed pages";
  • The time period should be indicated at the top. If you want to erase everything, you must select the “All time” value;
  • Click on “Cookies and other existing sites” - “Pictures and third-party files stored in the cache.”

Ad blocking

Various types of advertising in the browsers themselves have long been outdated, and even the users themselves do not pay attention to them. But often these windows appear at the wrong time, when searching for information or having a conversation. You should use one of the programs suggested below to eliminate pop-up banners and other advertising alerts.

  • uBlock;
  • AdBlock Plus;
  • Adguard;
  • AdwCleaner;
  • Ad Muncher.

They don't need any setup and will do everything themselves.

Starting turbo mode

In earlier versions of the Opera browser, the switch this mode was on the main menu. In new versions you will have to perform the following steps;

  • Log in to the Opera Internet browser;
  • Click the “Browser” section;
  • Check the option “Display additional options;
  • Scroll to the bottom of the page and activate the “Enable Opera Turbo” item.

You can also download the “Turbo Button” add-on and then the activation button will light up near the address bar.

Remove unnecessary bookmarks

It is worth remembering that you cannot restore erased bookmarks. Using Chrome as an example:

  • Login to the browser;
  • At the top right, click on “Settings and management” - “Bookmarks” - “Manager”;
  • Next to the desired tab, click on the “Delete” inscription.

By applying all the necessary actions and getting rid of the problems listed above, you will be able to significantly optimize performance and increase browser speed.
