Blind typing exercises. How to learn to type quickly on the keyboard. Education software

Hello! Today you will learn how to learn to type quickly on the keyboard! You will also understand how you can master the ten-finger typing method. These skills are necessary for people whose profession requires them to quickly type articles.

Ordinary people are also interested in learning how to type text on a computer. There are two types of people who work with a computer. The first ones look at the keyboard and type, while others, on the contrary, have figured out for themselves how to learn to type without looking at the keyboard and use it successfully.

You can type with one hand or with all fingers. It is better, of course, to use 10 fingers, since in this case typing will be faster. Plus, if you type without looking at the buttons, then it’s absolutely great!

Keyboard simulators for teaching fast typing on a computer

Typing speed most often depends on how trained a person is. As you know, the more an athlete trains, the higher his athletic performance. So it is here! Long-term training of typing speed through special programs, simulators, and online services allows you to improve your results a hundred times.

Before you get started, familiarize yourself with some rules for typing text on a computer:

  • Sit up straight and don't slouch.
  • Always leave only one space between words.
  • Remember that there are no spaces between punctuation marks.
  • A number and another sign, such as a percentage, are written together.
  • If possible, place an em dash between words.
  • It is not recommended to put a dash between numbers; a hyphen is needed.
  • Correct quotation marks are written only like this: “”.
  • It is considered a mistake to put several punctuation marks, for example, like this: “???”, “!!!”

It is advisable to sit in front of the computer on a chair or armchair. Make sure that the angle is 90 degrees between the shin and thigh and between the thigh and shin. The fit should be straight without any bends. The head should also not be bent. Direct your gaze forward to the very center of the monitor. Make sure that your wrists do not sag and the distance from your eyes to the display is between 40 and 70 cm.

By following these printing rules, your texts will be of good quality.

Typing course

If someone does not want to learn on their own and needs constant supervision, then they can hire a special typing teacher. Such courses are now a dime a dozen, especially in Moscow!

But why not go online and download the same keyboard solo and start practicing. Do 100 exercises in a couple of months, and you already master the touch typing method. You can download any other program and start training yourself!

There is also an option to take courses on a special service https://sense-lang.org! This project deals with typing courses and allows online mode master printing!

Typing tutorial

This tool is distributed on the Internet absolutely free of charge. Its role is played by any program or online service with typing lessons.

You can download the program or take classes directly on the Internet! These simulators will be discussed below!

Keyboard simulator program

The fast typing program is the most used option for learning cursive writing. In addition to programs for typing text on a computer, there are online services that allow you to do the same via the Internet.

If you want to learn how to type on a computer, you can use one of the programs described below, and it’s free!

This program is by far the most popular among many beginners. Solo spreads like regular program on the computer and online version. The cost of the program is not high; if you wish, you can download it for free.

Both children and adults can learn keyboard solos. After each exercise, educational information comes out with anecdotes and more.

In my opinion, this is one of the best simulators on this moment. I personally learned how to type on a keyboard using it.

Thanks to this program, you can easily master the ten-finger touch typing method. It's actually very cool! You sit, look out the window somewhere, and your hands seem to be typing something there independently of your body. Plus the eyes don't get tired. By the way, you can close them altogether! Just make sure you don't fall asleep! 🙂

The essence of the program is that at first you begin to remember where and what letters are located. Everything is going step by step. Maybe you noticed that there are some “papillae” on two letters of the keyboard. That is, two dashes for the letters “a” and “o”. They allow you to print without looking. Just feel for them and off you go!

Thus, after even a month of training, you will be able to easily type text in a typing program.

Simulator program

This software, unlike the above, is distributed completely free of charge. His teaching abilities are no worse.

In this program, you can study either alone or in pairs with a neighbor. This program for learning to type on the keyboard has three levels of difficulty. Lessons are taught in one of 3 languages. It is also possible to monitor achievement statistics. Based on your results, the Sami program draws a conclusion on what to base the support on. Roughly speaking, she sees your weak points.

Rapid Typing software

A similar typing program is well suited for schoolchildren. Its interface is very colorful and children really like it. The program has a teacher mode, which makes it possible to create groups of users, make amendments and create different levels. Just like the previous program, there are 3 languages. With each new level, completing the exercise becomes more and more difficult.

This keyboard typing training program allows you to customize literally everything! You can change the font, color and even sound!

Computer typing program TypingMaster

This software was created to quickly type on the keyboard and provide an opportunity to improve your skills. Its main difference from all the others is the presence of a large number of different games! There are three built-in games, which become more and more difficult to complete with each level.

The program for typing text on a computer has a special indicator that shows your typing speed. It also counts the number of words typed.

You can use this program as much as you want, but the paid version will allow you to get rid of ads. The software allows printing only in English.

Program for training typing on the Bombina keyboard

All higher specified programs, can be used as usual desktop computer, and on a laptop!

Keyboard simulator online services

At the moment, many programs are becoming online services. They are equipped online keyboard, statistics counters and other necessary components. Below are the most common projects where users register and learn how to quickly print on a keyboard.

More precisely, it is a combination of letters. The top column on the right will show the speed and statistics of your results. For example, I managed to type 209 characters per minute.

This keyboard is for children, but I think it won’t hurt adults either!

Stamina

The online stamina simulator is designed for typing text on the Internet. To be honest, it's not very impressive. It seems that the site was created with the goal of making money on advertising. Two lines appear in front of you: dark and light. You need to press the letters that match the dark line.

The online stamina simulator is distributed free of charge, so if you want, come try it.

Verseq online

The online simulator verseq ru is a special service that allows you to master touch typing with 5 points! The program can be downloaded for free, or you can purchase it and remove all restrictions.

Touch typing study

The typing study website is a good option to learn how to quickly type on the keyboard. It is very informative, but unfortunately grayish and not very attractive.

In addition, for some reason this simulator does not have a Russian keyboard layout. To check, I had to connect the Belarusian one.

Online simulatorsense lang org

An interesting project with a good design. Choose a lesson and start practicing on the keyboard.

Before starting classes, you can turn the sound on or off, and you can also select the typing option.

Sense lang is a great project for developing typing skills.

Keyboard typing sounds

Some programs have keyboard sound, while others are silent. Although I don’t understand why keyboard sounds are needed if you already hear them when typing. Perhaps someone wants to enhance the effect!

Ten-finger typing method or keyboard typing technique

Using the programs and services listed above, you can easily master the 10-finger printing method. And you won’t ask how you can quickly learn to type on a keyboard! Because after performing 100 exercises on the same “ SOLO"You will have the skill of fast touch typing! This typing technique will speed up your typing skills several times!

The ten-finger seal has several variations, similar to one another.

  1. Before you begin, your fingers must be in a certain place. They return to these zones during pauses between entering sentences or words.
  2. You need to find a supporting row of letters. This is the fourth one from the top.
  3. The index finger of the left hand is placed on the letter “A”, and the right finger on the letter “O”.
  4. Other fingers are placed on adjacent buttons.
  5. The support buttons are located due to special serrations or protrusions.
  6. The more you practice, the faster you will be able to find the right keys and put your hands in the right position.
  7. Sometimes you can come across recommendations that you should keep your fingers on “YVAM and TOLD”
  8. The finger presses buttons within its reach.
  9. Functional buttons can also be pressed with the desired finger.
  10. Letters are easier to find than other characters, numbers, commas, etc.
  11. The BACKSPACE button is usually pressed with the little finger of the right hand.
  12. TAB – pressed with the little finger of the left hand.
  13. The “Enter” key is pressed with the right little finger.
  14. If there are two Shift buttons, then presses with the left and right little fingers are used.
  15. Spacebar and Alt press with your left or right thumb.
  16. CTRL – presses with the right or left little finger.

Such pressing options allow you to avoid unnecessary load and make it possible to actively work at the computer for a long time.

The ten-finger typing technique will give you greater speed than typing with two fingers.

How to learn to touch type

Touch typing is certainly cool, but to master it you will have to work hard. I advise you to use the SOLO program on the keyboard, because I myself learned to do touch typing using it.

The essence of the program is simple:

  1. Download the file to your computer.
  2. Install.
  3. Enter your first name, or maybe your last name.
  4. Study the information provided.
  5. Move on to training.
  6. Initially, you type 5 lines of letters a, o and others.
  7. Then the process becomes more complicated.
  8. All this is accompanied by interesting information.
  9. Complete 100 exercises and now your eyes are no longer looking at the keyboard, but your hands are typing!

Thus, the touch typing method in intensive mode can be mastered in 1-2 months of daily training. Initially, it seems that learning to touch-type is difficult and very problematic, but when you start doing it stupidly, all doubts disappear and confidence appears. Just do the exercises daily and you will succeed!

Typing speed test

You can take a keyboard test online and check your typing speed on this website: https://solo.nabiraem.ru

Just go to the project and click the button PASS THE SPEED TEST»

A window with text like this will appear.

Here comes an online keyboard typing speed test! Type the text and see the statistics.

Games to improve your typing

In order to learn typing, many people like to use games to learn the keyboard. Below are several games for the keyboard.

Keyboard

At the time of writing this article, I found this game at this address: https://ergosolo.ru/games/keyboard. The bottom line is that you just need to assemble the keyboards from memory. Most likely, this flash game trains you to remember the location of the buttons.

Perfect for stretching your brain!

Typing Bubble

Cool keyboard game with rhythmic music. The essence of the game is that soap bubbles are flying, and words are written in them. You need to write these words in a special table, and then press the “Enter” key. Do not press spaces, otherwise they will not be counted, also do not forget to capitalize the word if required.

This game allows you to learn how to quickly type English letters on the keyboard. If you are learning the English layout, then this simulator is suitable for you!

Keyboard racing

This game allows you to print and show how your car will move to the finish line. There is nothing complicated. Just go to the website http://klavogonki.ru and click fast start. Then write the text and get to the end. Afterwards, you will be given all the statistics for your race!

Thus, games for learning the keyboard will help you consolidate the acquired knowledge well after completing the training programs!

You can also find races for beginners on this website: https://gonki.nabiraem.ru

How to print on a computer?

If you still don't understand how to type correctly, then let's learn the basics.

Placement of letters on the keyboard and fingers

All your fingers should be above the keyboard opposite the letters FYVY and OLJ. These symbols lie on the main row, it is named so because it contains frequently used letters. Blind orientation, where which letter is possible due to the marks on the letters “A” and “O”.

This placement of your fingers on the keyboard will allow you to always be in combat readiness!

Working with a keyboard for beginners can cause difficulties, but that’s okay, once you didn’t know the alphabet either. But they learned it! So don’t worry, practice more and everything will work out!

Learning the computer keyboard

Start studying the computer layout by simply looking at the buttons and where they are located. In theory, you need to learn the keyboard, and for this you need to practice every day using the example “solo on the keyboard” program.

At first, of course, it’s scary, your eyes run wild, because there are so many buttons. But after several exercises and the first victories, all fear and doubts disappear! So go for it!

Below is a photo, this is a sample keyboard or a diagram of a computer keyboard.

Keys

Below in the picture you can see a set of keys on the keyboard.

All these typing keys on the keyboard are required for correct operation.

How to remember the keyboard

To remember, just follow the tips below.

Tip #1.

Choose one of the simulators for yourself and work with it daily.

Tip #2.

Pick up one of the keyboard games and practice typing letters.

Tip #3.

Take exercises to their logical conclusion and don’t stop halfway. If you decide to study the keyboard and understand how you can learn to type quickly on the keyboard, follow through!

Tip #4.

Always try to keep your posture straight and not tilt your head forward. Also make sure that your hands are comfortable.

Tip #5.

Before going to bed, imagine a keyboard and try to remember where each letter is. This will help you learn it quickly.

Thus, you will quickly master lessons on memorization and fast typing. The main thing is regularity!

To learn how to type quickly, you need to regularly perform typing exercises. Let's say you completed the keyboard solo. Now you know the ten-finger blind method. The next thing to do is improve your printing speed and quality. And for this you need to regularly work with the keyboard and write texts.

You can take repeated training; this will help reduce the number of errors and improve your typing skills. Watch your typing speed, if it starts to drop, better rest and start training the next day. This way you can better increase your typing speed.

Keyboard typing record

Scientists have set a printing record and it is 940 characters per minute! This record was set by Mikhail Shestov. This is not a completely ordinary person, since his impulses in the brain when typing go to the nerves immediately from the subcortex, bypassing the cortex. This ability allows him to type very quickly!

If you are interested, you can watch a short video on this topic.

But among ordinary people, a certain American Barbara Blackburn broke the record at the typing championship. Its typing speed is 750 characters per minute!

Keyboard for typing

The keyboard for typing should differ from all others with good build quality. Agree, it will be problematic to work on a keyboard that sloshes and falls somewhere. I don't know about you, but I work on my laptop most of the time. And the usual built-in keyboard suits me quite well.

But I heard that enough good keyboards are considered mechanical. They can be used for both typing and gaming. But I believe that for text, buttons should not fall too far. Otherwise, your fingers may touch other buttons.

There is a keyboard for children, but there is no particular difference from the keyboard for adults. Same buttons, same functions.

Sometimes the keyboard built into the computer can be very convenient, and sometimes an online keyboard can come in handy! I can’t tell you which one to use for your specific job. The main thing is that you like it and be comfortable.

In order to print the computer keyboard on paper shown in the picture, just right-click on the picture and open it in a new tab. Then you can print or save to your computer.

Online keyboard typing training

The methods described in the article allow you to make your keyboard typing practice perfect!

I would like to give beginners a couple of tips:

  1. Once you start, finish it to the end, don’t give up.
  2. Spend at least a few minutes a day exercising.
  3. After completing training in any program, repeat it after a while.
  4. Organize typing training for yourself several times a year or month!

So, having gone all the way, you now understand how to learn how to type quickly on a keyboard! Today you learned about trainer programs, keyboard games, online services printing, and also got acquainted with the keyboard layout! This article has come to an end! I wish you quick printing and good mood!

Best regards, Maxim Obukhov!!!

All computer users (both active and not so active) use a keyboard. Typing is a traditional procedure when working with a computer. You can type text with two fingers, looking every now and then at the keyboard, but you can learn the touch typing method. Let's talk about this.

Every person is able to master this skill if they spend at least 1 hour on it every day for 2-3 weeks. Of course, typing will be slow at first, you will have to think before all the keystrokes. But over time, speed and accuracy will increase.

Touch typing. Advantages

Touch typing skills are important for those who work on a PC all the time. But the main advantages this method are:

The key positive side of the touch printing method is the time savings. For people who constantly work on a PC and type a lot of characters, such a skill is truly invaluable. Moreover, such a technique will have a beneficial effect on the amount of work and earnings of rewriters and copywriters;

If you know how to quickly type text, then it is entered rhythmically, which significantly reduces the level of fatigue. In addition, you will enjoy the coordinated work of your hands;
This is an excellent addition to your skills in your resume, which will speed up your job search;
Another advantage is that you can logically express your thoughts and keep up with them. Sometimes being distracted for just a second can throw you off;

The touch typing method is truly effective because you spend less time working and your eyes get tired less quickly.

Your eyes get tired quickly if you constantly move your gaze from the keys to the monitor. Thus, touch typing helps preserve vision.

Rules for touch typing

If you want to learn how to touch-type, then remember the rules:

while typing text, do not look at the keys;
Each finger needs to press its own buttons.

These points cannot be violated. Even if one of the buttons seems “complicated”, you should not peek. So you only remember the wrong order, which is stored in the brain, and it’s not easy to relearn. You may make mistakes, but mistakes can be easily corrected. Over time, accuracy only increases.

Typing Rules

The location of the fingers during touch typing is the same for all languages. We will tell you about the rules of typing in Russian.

So, on all types of keyboards the buttons are arranged in 6 lines. The top one acts as an auxiliary one; it is not used for touch typing, so don’t think about it. Bottom line with "Ctrl", "Alt" and spacebar buttons. After it comes the first, second and third row. They are the key ones.

The fourth line contains numbers that are rarely used. Typically, the numeric keypad on the right is used to type numbers. This is because you have to reach far, which slows down your typing. And there are a lot of mistakes. Mastering the second row is important, but it is not necessary to concentrate on it.

The main thing is the position of the hands on the keys - the row for support “FYVA” (left little finger, ring, middle and index), as well as “OLJ” (right index, middle, ring and little finger). At first, your fingers need to be placed on the correct keys, but over time they will no longer rest on them, but will be located a few millimeters above them. This happens automatically as your skills increase. There is no need to specifically speed this up. To control the position of the hands, there are bumps on the keys with the letters “A” and “O”.

When learning, it is important to follow the key rules and finger placement on the buttons.

The keys are learned in this order:

Initially, the “own” buttons are taught by the left index finger, then the right;
Then presses are practiced with the left middle finger, then with the right;
then the location of the buttons is remembered with the left ring finger, then with the right;
The last one to remember is the “own” buttons of the left and right little finger.

Take a different route, try to start working with text, but it is better to study letters for specific fingers.

So, the printing order is:

With your thumbs, press the space bar one at a time. So, when the last button or sign is pressed with your left hand, then press the space bar with the same hand. In a “resting state,” the fingers hang in the air above the space;
the buttons are pressed with the nearest finger, moving one finger, then returning it to the original one. This is how capital letters are entered, and the little finger of the unused hand holds the “Shift” button;
You shouldn’t set a goal to remember where the letters are. The main thing is to remember which finger makes the movements.

Hitting technique and rhythm

All simulators that teach touch typing begin training with stroke and rhythm techniques. And it becomes clear to beginners that touching the buttons is done with the pads, but not everyone knows that not just one finger is involved, but the entire hand.

The key rule of touch typing is that you need to make light and clear strokes, all the time returning your fingers to the starting position. You need to press the space bar with the edge of your thumb.

Rhythm when learning is also important. It means that pressing is done at regular intervals. , you are more likely to achieve automaticity. And even when you think that the key combinations can be typed faster, continue to keep the rhythm. To develop rhythm and typing speed, you will need the help of a metronome.

Auxiliary keys

It's important to master the auxiliary keys first. These include Tab, Backspace, Ctrl, Alt, Shift, Spacebar.

The Backspace button is used to eliminate characters to the left of the cursor. It is located in a line with numbers; it is always pressed with the right little finger. The Enter button is also pressed with the same finger. Very rarely with the ring finger.

Typing techniques require adherence to rhythm and techniques for striking the keyboard. This way you will be able to type more quickly without having to peek.

The Tab button must be pressed with the right little finger. And Shift is used to type capital letters. It’s on both sides, and you use it like this:

if you need to type a letter with your right hand, then hold down Shift with your left;
if a character from the left-handed part of the keyboard is required, then Shift is held down with the right.

The Ctrl button is used to change the language. It is also on both sides. They also press it with their little fingers. The Alt button is almost never used for this method.

The spacebar is considered the most used button. Press with the edge of the thumb of one hand.

How to learn touch typing

If you are interested in how to learn touch typing yourself, then we will tell you about popular methods. The first of them is to take any story and type it. You will remember which finger to press where. And over time, you will reach the point of automaticity, since your fingers will press the required keys themselves. The method is not easy, but real.

There are other ways. One of them is a popular book from Yu.V. Kholkin, which talks about the 10-finger printing method. You can learn from it faster, especially since it’s easy to find on the Internet.

Another option is a program called Keyboard Solo. It's free, but you'll have to pay to get the full version. Download the simulator and start training. This program is recognized as the best for teaching touch typing. Here training is conducted in different languages. In general, both methods are similar.

Useful programs

To learn speed dial text on keyboard created useful programs and services:

Stamina. You can get the service from the official website. This is a free trainer for learning typing, which helps you quickly learn a method that uses 10 fingers;
the previously mentioned “Keyboard Solo.” This is a simulator, whose author is the famous teacher from Moscow State University V.V. Shakhidzhanyan. The official website says that such a simulator will quickly and easily teach touch typing;
VerseQ is considered another popular service for learning touch typing. The developers assure that after just 60 minutes of lessons a person begins to type without looking, and in 8-15 hours they will learn to type text at the level of those who have completed touch typing courses.

For those who want to independently study the intricacies of touch typing, there are many free services and programs.

There are other, not very popular methods. These include: Rapid Typing, Bombina, Funny Fingers, jQwer, Baby Type. By the way, the latter is considered one of the first assistants in learning typing without spying in the form of a game.

In addition, to learn the method of typing with all 10 fingers, online services have been invented:

popular "Klavogonki". This is an interesting game that also acts as a trainer for learning to type. There are many analogues, but this one is considered the most popular;
“All 10” is another free online trainer.

It is also worth noting Time Speed, VerseQ online (this online option popular trainer mentioned above).

There are many useful assistants, but those listed here will suffice for learning.

24 January 2014, 14:31

Last year I set myself a goal - to master touch typing. I reached it quickly enough. I don’t remember exactly now, but, in my opinion, it took me no more than a few weeks. It was possible faster, even much faster, but it was not always possible to devote time to training. Now I have decided to master the Latin layout, and, I want to say, mastering the second layout is much faster. In fact, this can be done even in one weekend. Of course, I’m not saying now that you will type at a speed of 300 characters per minute, but, at least, you won't be looking at the keyboard. Today I decided to write about keyboard trainers for touch typing, and in general about what touch typing is and who needs it.

Why do you need touch typing?

Just answer one question for yourself: how often do you type on the keyboard? I can predict the answer. Of course, often! This may be a banal correspondence in in social networks, and there may be more serious things - a thesis (if you write it yourself), work reports, copywriting (if). Can you imagine how much time you could save if typing took you, say, 5 times less time. And this is not the limit.

Yes, first of all touch typing allows you to increase your typing speed. Ideally, you will be able to type at the speed of thought, even much faster than writing with a regular ballpoint pen. You will not think about which key you need to press; your fingers will do it subconsciously. It will be hard at first, but then you will start to enjoy it. You just need to overcome yourself.

In addition, touch typing is good for the brain. To master touch typing at a high level, your brain will have to create a huge number of neural connections. And in general, fine motor skills of the hands themselves also have an extremely positive effect on brain function. So print more.

What types of touch typing keyboard trainers are there?

Well, first of all, there are online keyboard simulators touch typing and offline simulators. There's not much to explain here. You will use the first (online simulators) through an Internet browser, and if registration is provided there, then you will be able to train not only at home. And the second type of simulators (offline) involves installing a program on your computer with all the ensuing consequences. I prefer online simulators, but, of course, they require constant access to the Internet.

You can also meet free and paid keyboard trainers. Personally, it seems to me that the difference is small, although I can’t really compare, because I myself have only used free simulators. Here, as in everyday life, everything depends on the person. More precisely, it depends on whether he knows how to achieve his goals or not. By the way, this is a great chance to test this quality in yourself.

Keyboard simulators can also be divided according to their interest. This is of course not for everyone, but personally I like it when training is built in the form of a game and is divided into levels, when there are some achievements, points, competitions and other gaming stuff. This draws you into the training process, and you don’t even notice how you are developing your touch typing skill step by step. In a word, have fun and profitably.

Well, I think it’s time to move on to a review of popular touch typing keyboard trainers. I will not divide them according to any gender characteristics or sort them in any way, but will simply describe them and, perhaps, collect basic information in a small table for convenient comparison. I won’t describe everything, but only those that my heart is drawn to.

All 10 – free online touch typing trainer

All 10(website) is one of the best free touch typing simulators. It was on it that I mastered the ten-finger set, so I will describe it first. The site itself looks quite nice and is not annoying to spend a long time on it.

Interface "All 10"

Training is based on levels. If you complete the task and advance to the next level, if you fail, beat Claudia until you pass! The tasks from level to level are basically the same, but the only difference is the number of keys on which you need to flutter like a bird. To pass the level, you need to type the provided text at a speed of at least 50 characters per minute and you are allowed to make no more than 2 mistakes. Well it minimum requirements, but purely for yourself, you can set a goal to sit at the same level until the speed is, say, 120 characters per minute.

Training can be completed in Russian and English languages. What I’m actually doing now is going through levels in English.

After training you can get certified. For some reason I didn’t pass, I have to pass.

The service also has statistics for each lesson, where you can compare your results with the average and with the best results.

In principle, this keyboard simulator alone will be enough for you to learn touch typing. But for the sake of decency, let's look at other interesting simulators.

Clavogonki is an exciting online game. Touch typing won't get you far

Clavogons(site) is a truly unique creation that combines all the best that can be needed for learning high-speed touch typing. Just look at the table of the best players. The fastest player this week set a record in 892 characters per minute. Can you imagine? 15 characters per second!

Clavogonki: choosing a race

There is a development system, ranks, points that can be spent on all sorts of bonuses and other things inherent in any game world.

The only drawback is that if you are a beginner, then you have nothing to do here! This keyboard trainer can teach you speed typing, but it is unlikely to teach you touch typing from scratch.

Klavarog – professional free online keyboard trainer

Speaking of Clavarog(website), it’s easier to start with its shortcomings, because there are very few of them, and then move on to its advantages, which will help you quickly forget about the shortcomings.

The only disadvantages of this keyboard trainer are that it does not have registration and does not remember your progress. That's all! Oh yes, the interface also looks a little old-fashioned and too simple, but there is nothing superfluous and nothing distracts from the process of learning touch typing.

Clavarog: a complete professional set

Now let's move on to the advantages of Clavarog:

Languages. There are as many as 5 languages in this keyboard simulator - Russian, English, German, Ukrainian and Esperanto.

For each language it is provided 4 difficulty levels. At the first difficulty level “Start” you will be able to master the very basics - short, repeating words. At the second level “Beginner” there will be longer and more complex words. At the third level you will practice your typing speed. On the fourth - typing random paragraphs of text from books.

In addition to the usual national languages (not counting Esperanto), you will be able to master touch typing course specifically for programming languages, taking into account the syntax features of each of them. The most popular programming languages are collected, among which you will find JavaScript, PHP, Python, C, C++, Go, Pascal, SQL, XML/XSLT. If you are a programmer, then this keyboard simulator will be effective for you.

There are also different keyboard layout options for each language. You are most likely only familiar with QWERTY, because all keyboards on computers and laptops have this layout. This is when the top row of letters begins with the Latin letters qwerty. However, there are other layouts. They are less popular and certainly less familiar to the average person, but people who use them claim that they are more convenient and they can achieve better results (meaning typing speed). Among these layouts are: dvorak, ant, workman, klausler, jcuken and others…

Programmers most often work with alternative types of layouts. So if you are a programmer, then this touch typing keyboard simulator is doubly suitable for you.

Touch Typing Study – another good touch typing keyboard trainer (online)

Big advantage Touch Typing Study(site) is a huge number of languages. But will this be a benefit for you? I think not, unless you are a polyglot linguist. Otherwise, this resource is not much different from its analogues.

Touch Typing Study - simple, but no less effective

It is possible to register, but it is not necessary, since all lessons and exercises are available without registration.

There are also several unique games that are not like Tetris or Snake... although they are more like moving crosswords, I don’t know how to describe it, you just need to see and feel it. For the games they get a separate plus from me, after all, the games are very captivating in the process and I am always FOR this approach to learning.

By the way, like all the keyboard trainers that I describe, Touch Typing Study is completely free. Use it for your own pleasure, as much as you like.

Touch typing: top keyboard trainers

I did not describe all of these simulators in the article, because I described only online and free keyboard simulators, but, nevertheless, these are worthy candidates for you to learn about them. Perhaps someone is not against paid training. But for some people it’s more convenient to download the program onto their computer, you never know, maybe the Internet at home isn’t always available... well, that’s it!

Rating of keyboard trainers

Let's try to choose best keyboard trainer from those presented in the voting form. If you have come across them, you can choose the one you like best. If not, select the last option to view the voting results. I'll add my voice too. If you like several keyboard trainers and cannot choose the best one, then vote for 2 at once. You cannot vote for 3.

Conclusion:

Is touch typing difficult to learn? I think not! Especially considering the abundance of tools provided for this. Do you need touch typing? It's up to you to decide, but I think that this skill will definitely not be superfluous.

My typing speed on the Russian layout is now about 150 characters per minute, in English - about 90-100 characters per minute. I achieved this using a free online keyboard trainer " All 10" But the speed is low, I agree. Therefore, after completing the English layout course, I plan to hone my speed typing on the resource " Clavogons" What do you train on?

XXI century - the era of computer technology. Today, the inability to type on a keyboard is comparable to the inability to use a ballpoint pen. In a time when every minute is valuable, typing slowly is an unaffordable luxury that limits a person's capabilities in the modern world.

Why do you need to type quickly?

Quite recently it was a rarity. The ability to type any text, despite the keyboard, was equated to magic. Only a few possessed such skill. Now everything has changed a lot, and high-speed printing is a frequently used, professionally valuable skill. Many employers, when selecting employees whose activities will be related to computers, specify proficiency in touch typing as one of the main requirements for applicants.

Nowadays, not only computer typing operators in publishing houses must type quickly, but also accountants, economists, office clerks - everyone whose work involves creating electronic documents.

Which keyboard is considered optimal?

So, there are many services that help determine how fast you type. You only need to type at speed for a minute, and after that the treasured number appears. But what is it compared to? What print speed is considered good?

For those unfamiliar with touch typing, it is likely that you will not be able to type more than 150 characters in one minute. Looking at the keyboard and using two fingers makes it difficult to achieve great speed. And even if you have already learned to type with the ten-finger method, do not expect that high speed print. At first it will be about 200 characters per minute, which is not bad. A typing speed that “keeps pace” with normal speech is considered comfortable. The more training, the faster it increases. Once you reach 300-400 characters per minute, start to be proud of yourself. Professionals can boast of this speed.

But even if you can do this, it’s too early to relax. The world record for typing speed was set in 2005, and ten years later, no one can beat it. It is 750 characters in one minute.

How can you increase your printing speed?

We have set a goal - to learn how to quickly type text on the keyboard. What will come of this is still unknown. Perhaps you will receive praise from your boss and a promotion, or a miracle may happen and a new name will appear in the Guinness Book of Records. In any case, such a valuable skill will not be superfluous; it will make working at the computer more efficient and help save time.

Often, beginners try to increase their speed by simply entering texts on the keyboard, and spend more than one hour doing such a monotonous task. Let's say right away - it's a waste of time if you don't use the right typing technique.

The touch typing method is what will help. This is the only correct way to type. Only after mastering the principles of this method can you devote time to training. In this case, they will be effective, and the results will not keep you waiting.

Touch typing - how is it?

This method of typing appeared at the end of the 18th century. In those days, computers were out of the question, because mass production of typewriters had just begun. No attention was paid to learning how to type quickly. Everyone was looking for convenient methods of working on keyboards. The most effective method turned out to be typing without looking at the keyboard and with the distribution of keys for each finger.

This method began to be called the ten-finger method because it involves all ten fingers on the hands, and the blind method - because when typing text, you don’t have to look at the buttons. As you learn touch typing, you will memorize the location of every letter and every sign on the keyboard. Does this seem difficult? Nothing like this! After just a few days of training, your fingers themselves will begin to look for the buttons in the right place. Moreover, each of the ten fingers has and accurately remembers its work zone.

Two important principles of the ten-finger method

Users who have been using touch typing for a long time follow two basic rules without thinking about it. Beginners will need to try hard. So, if you decide to master the touch typing method on the keyboard, remember:

1. Each finger presses only certain, “its” buttons. This is clearly shown in the figure below.

The color of the finger corresponds to the color of the keys that it must press.

2. Looking at the keyboard while typing is strictly prohibited. This habit is the main problem for beginners. Getting rid of it is not as easy as it seems. At the beginning of training, there will be many typos that will have to be corrected, but over time, tactile memory will begin to develop, and you will stop thinking about every movement. The fingers will press the correct buttons themselves.

Only by adhering to these principles can you quickly learn to type on the keyboard. If you ignore at least one of them, you will wait a very long time for results.

How long does it take to learn to touch type?

The blind ten-finger typing method can be mastered in a month with daily training. Don't be afraid, you won't have to spend 10-12 hours typing for 30 days. Three-hour classes, but regular ones, are enough.

Often beginners, having a great desire, mastered touch typing in two to three weeks. This does not mean that after three weeks the typing speed will be 300-400 characters per minute. To achieve this speed, further training is necessary. This does not necessarily have to be targeted work on simulator programs, you just need to apply the acquired skills when using a computer.

It may seem at first that you are typing slower with the touch typing method than with the two-finger “sighted” method. In this case, the main thing is not to worry and not to give up further use of touch typing. In a couple of weeks at most, a tendency towards an increase in speed will become noticeable.

Touch Typing Basics

The ten-finger printing method has several variations, similar to each other in the main points.

Before you start typing, your fingers are in a strictly defined place. They return there in pauses between entering words or sentences. We immediately need to find the supporting row of the keyboard. This is the third row of keys from the bottom. The left hand is placed on the letter A, and the right hand is placed on O. The remaining fingers occupy places above the adjacent buttons. For quick definition The positions of the support keys on any keyboard are marked with small raised protrusions. As you improve your skills, you will learn to feel the correct position of your hands without touching the keys.

Each finger presses only the letter buttons closest to it, according to the color scheme.

Each one is also pressed only with a certain finger. It is more difficult to get used to pressing special buttons correctly than using an alphabetic keyboard.

The key is used to delete erroneously entered characters and is pressed with the little finger on the right hand.

To press the Key, use the little finger on your left hand.

A frequently used button, we use our right little finger to press it.

There are two keys on the keyboard. If you need to change the case of a letter that is entered using any finger of your right hand, then press with your left little finger, and vice versa.

The keys and [Space] are pressed with the thumb. Individually, everyone can use their left or right hand for this.

Keys are pressed using the right or left little finger.

This type of printing does not create unnecessary stress on the joints of the hands and makes it possible to work productively on typing for a long time.
