Complete disassembly of the iPhone. Complete disassembly of the iPhone iPhone 5 in analysis with description

We are often asked: “Is it difficult to disassemble the fifth iPhone?” The answer is no. But there are several nuances. In order to disassemble the iPhone 5 with your own hands, you will need a special 5-point screwdriver, a suction cup, a pick and a plastic spatula. If this is your first time dealing with phone disassembly, you will need maximum perseverance, attentiveness and caution.

1. At the bottom of the phone, next to the system connector, you need to unscrew two bolts.

2. Using a suction cup (at the bottom, closer to the Home button), we remove the display module from the case, prying it with a plastic spatula or a pick.

3. After lifting the display, you need to unscrew the bolts securing the plate that presses the display connectors to the board. Next, remove it to the side.

4. After the display cables become accessible, carefully pry them up with a spatula and disconnect them.

5. This leaves us with the display module and the back of the case with all the assembled components in our hands.

6. The next step in disassembly is to move on to the iPhone 5 battery. Unscrew the fixing plate and disconnect the battery connector. The iPhone battery is glued to the body along its entire perimeter. In order to remove it, you need to pull the plastic tab sticking out from under it and pry it off with a spatula.

7. Similarly, disconnect the system connector cable and the antenna coaxial cable. Their connectors are located next to the battery connector. Next, unscrew the frame securing the main camera and flash LEDs.

8. By unscrewing the bolts in the upper inner part of the case and around the perimeter of the system board, you can thereby remove it from back cover. When disassembling the iPhone 5, do not forget to disconnect the coaxial cable of the antenna under the board!

9. Having removed the main board of the iPhone 5, we can say that the iPhone is practically disassembled.

10. To replace the system connector cable and polyphonic speaker, you need to unscrew the fixing bolts and, using a spatula, remove them from the case.

11. Let's move on to display module iPhone 5, disassembling it yourself is not difficult. Several elements are recorded on it. This is a voice speaker.

12. Front-camera It is fixed on the cable with a common plate. Be extremely careful when peeling off the light sensor and camera cable!

13. It's not difficult at all to remove the Home button. Sometimes the ingress of liquid or dirt causes it to not work correctly. In such cases, either cleaning or complete replacement is required.

14. When disassembling the iPhone 5, be sure to remember where this or that element was located, because after disassembling it still needs to be reassembled correctly. If it scares you Repair iPhone 5 with your own hands, contact the Tech-Profi service center.

What is needed for a good, high-quality disassembly of an iPhone? Manual dexterity, accuracy, perseverance, concentration and some important tools.

Of course, iPhone 5 repair- a serious matter that requires special attention. Besides, this work will require the utmost care from you. The difficulty of disassembling an iPhone of this model is that many of the parts in it are glued, on some you will not see the mounting screws, because they are hardly noticeable. Don't forget the golden rule: if you have to put in effort, you're doing something wrong. Replace glass with touch panel, can only be done by replacing the LCD display. And if you decide to change only the glass, without the display, be prepared to buy the display separately.

Tools for DIY iPhone disassembly

In order to repair an iPhone 5 and disassemble it, you will need special tools. So, stock up on: a Pentalob screwdriver, a suction cup for the screen, a small Phillips screwdriver, a small spatula.

Instructions for disassembling iPhone 5 yourself

First of all, you should turn off the device, then you need to unscrew all existing external screws using a Pentalob screwdriver.

Then we take the suction cup in our hands and carefully lift the smartphone screen. If necessary, you can use something thin to pry the screen off, but be careful not to scratch the device.

At this stage we must remove the screws as well as the fastenings.

Connectors, cables, and antennas should be disconnected. Remember that when working with cables, you need to use a spatula, it is better if it is made of plastic.

Remove the display.

Unscrew the cable protection, which is located in the center of the motherboard.

Don't forget to disconnect the battery. In this model, this cannot be done immediately, so it is turned off at this stage. We take out the battery, which needs to be pryed off with a spatula.

So, we gradually reach the motherboard. Unscrew the 2 screws that hold the camera.

Then you should disconnect the microphone and speaker cable. Don't forget about the headphone output cable.

After this, you need to disconnect the antenna cable and remove our SIM card tray.

We disconnect all the cables that hold the back panel and fee.

Using careful movements, remove the motherboard. To do this, remove the cables and 5 screws.

We unscrew 2 screws from protecting the iPhone camera. The camera is freely detachable from the motherboard.

Then, remove the 3 screws that hold the vibration and disconnect it.

Then you should unscrew 2 screws located next to the headphone jack and one on the right side of the lower cable.

The final stage is to remove the 4 screws of the lower cable and take it out.

This concludes the analysis of iPhone 5.

One... Three... F... Three... F again... S!... Four... Four again!... And another S!... Five!... S!... Five?!... C!

Luckily, Apple is in the tech industry, not the education industry. We can only imagine what a mess there would be in the ABC books if they studied in Cupertino.

Weird names aside, we were eager to get our teeth into the latest phone fruit. So passionately that they sent one of us into the lands where they walk on their heads to get one.

The release of the new iPhone is a trip to the future - the iFixit review team has moved 17 hours forward in time to get their hands on the iPhone 5S early.

We want to say a big thank you to our good friends from MacFixit Australia for allowing the use of their Melbourne office for this review. They sell accessories for Macs, iPhones and iFixit tools.

To cover all our backs, we learned from our best linguists that 5S upside down is still 5S.

Speaking of tools. For this breakdown we will be using our brand new Pro Tech Screwdriver Set.

While we prepare ourselves to dive into the wondrous innards of the iPhone 5S, let's go over the technical specifications:

  • Apple A7 processor with 64-bit architecture;
  • Co-processor for motion analysis M7;
  • 16, 32 or 64 GB Flash memory;
  • 4-inch retina display with a density of 326 ppi;
  • 8 MP iSight camera and 1.2 MP FaceTime camera;
  • Fingerprint scanner built into the home button.

  • Available in three colors: space grey, silver and zooooloto(or, as we call it, not-at-all-the-color-of-space, a medal for second place, and... Bling!).

Apple follows its tradition of shielding the user from the insides of the device by using pentalobe screws. Luckily we were ready for this. We've released our foolproof iPhone 5 release kit, and to our surprise, it works!

Unfortunately, we did not purchase the necessary paint, so the set contains only silver and black screws for a Philips Phillips screwdriver.

Now we are pressing our designers to develop screws for a Phillips screwdriver made of 585 gold. They'll cost $50 each and will turn the first time you try to unscrew them, so they'll be perfect for the iPhone. We will keep you informed.

Our released iPhone 5S reminded us of another polka dot iPhone, a review of which will be published in the near future...

We finish spinning in place. It's time to open the baby! Just like we called on a suction cup to help separate the display module assembly from the body.

Unlike last year, we gently run a spatula around the perimeter, just in case...

The spatula helped. A cable was found at the bottom of the phone connecting the Touch ID sensor, which is located in the home button, and the Lightening connector.

This adds a small element of danger to the parsing process. If you lift the screen too high by the suction cup, there is a chance of damaging the cable.

We survived the first trap and carefully disconnected the Touch ID cable connector using a spudger.

Alas, at first glance, the internal structure of the iPhone 5S differs little from the internal structure. The main difference is the absence.

Using our favorite set of screwdrivers, we removed some of the metal shields that protect the connectors and began an epic battle with the battery.

The seemingly minor lack of a tab on the battery revealed a much larger problem - the adhesive.

Possibly a letter es in the name means “stuck together” or “get over it”... like, “this battery stuck together with the case tightly" or "I hope you don't want to replace the battery and accept it with the fact that you have an old one.”

While we were dreaming of an iPhone battery that could be replaced without tools, we heated up the existing battery and pryed it open with a spatula.

Holy scotch! It seems that Apple, compared to the iPhone 5S, did not use double-sided tape at all! There are two hefty white “runways” that support the battery over almost its entire area.

Addition: Some guys report that this tape has good tearability. As soon as we receive more iPhones for repair, we will test this theory and let you know!

It is stated that the iPhone 5S can last up to 10 hours of talk time on a 3G network, but there are rumors that iOS 7 will not stand a chance.

The modern ARMv8 instruction set was specifically designed for 64-bit architecture. It got rid of junk support, which increased efficiency, improved performance without impacting time battery life devices.

We'll have to wait until we examine the insides of the chip to find out who made it.

Let's look at the selfie camera.

Several screws secure the 1.2 MP FaceTime camera into place. Increasing the pixel size of the iSight camera may attract a lot of attention, but the DIY paparazzi is what makes iPhones what they are.

The bottom part of the 5S looks almost the same as that of the 5, although the speaker assembly is easier to remove.

With the speaker removed, the module containing the headphone jack, microphone and Lightning connector is easily removed.

On previous generations of iPhone, many components had to be replaced at once, because... the design was not as modular.

We found another new thing: double flash.

The old and amber LEDs are located next to the camera and help combat the pale tones of nightlife photos.

Just like in the display assembly, it is removed first, making it easier to replace.

The battery is also easy to access, although it is not "user serviceable".

The fingerprint sensor cable can easily be torn if you are careless when removing the display.

The iPhone 5s still uses Pentalobe head screws, which will require purchasing a special screwdriver.

The protective glass, screen and sensor are a single component, which increases the cost of repairs.

Ease of iPhone 5s repair: 6 out of 10 points(10 points means maximum simplicity).

Assembly is carried out in reverse order. Thank you for your attention:)

After several years of using an Apple smartphone, people are starting to wonder: how to disassemble the iPhone 5? Someone will ask: why is this necessary? There are quite a few reasons that motivate iPhone fans to do this. They can be listed almost endlessly, but we will describe only three of them, because one way or another, that’s not what you’re here for.

The first reason is to give your device a unique, fresh look. The fact is that over time, the back panel on your iPhone can get pretty frayed. And if you have black iPhone version 5, then paint problems will definitely force you to do this.

The second reason is scratched protective glass, which prevents the sensor from working properly. The third reason is problems with the hardware. Poor battery condition, faulty Home and Power keys, or even a broken screen.

Professional Tool Set

All these problems make us think about whether to take the iPhone to a service center or disassemble the device ourselves. A trip to the service center can hit your wallet. After all, you will have to pay for the materials and the work of the master. Doing disassembly yourself is not as difficult as it seems, and besides, you can save a lot of money on it. In this article, you will learn how to disassemble the iPhone 5 and iPhone 5s yourself.

So, before you begin the disassembly procedure, you must stock up on time and the necessary tools for this. A regular screwdriver is not enough here. You can buy tools for disassembling an iPhone in an online store. After purchasing all the necessary tools, you can start working.

First, turn off the device. You start the same way as with the iPhone 4/4s: unscrew the 2 screws at the bottom iPhone cases 5. For iPhone 5s, the disassembly procedure begins in a similar way.

We take the suction cup and, with its help, lift the screen. Next, we move away the structure with the screen, but not completely. Only the part where the Home button is located. For the iPhone 5s, you will need to disconnect the cables that lead to the motherboard from the Touch ID sensor. Top part remains connected to the rest of the smartphone with a small cable.

Having placed the screen unit vertically, unscrew the screw that holds the cable fastening. Use a plastic spatula to disconnect the cable. The screen unit is now detached from the body. If there were problems with the Home button or the cause of disassembly was a faulty speaker, screen sensor, or broken glass, then we continue to disassemble the screen unit.

To replace the speaker, you will need to unscrew 2 screws and disconnect the contacts from the screen unit. The speaker is now ready to be replaced. We remove the Home button from the bracket and replace it if it was faulty. In order to replace the glass or screen, unscrew the screw of the metal base. After this, nothing prevents you from replacing the screen or broken glass.

In order to replace the Home button in the iPhone 5s, also known as Touch ID, you need to pry it with a rubber spatula and carefully remove it.

If the problem was in the battery, the board, or you want to change the color of the case, then we continue the process of disassembling the iPhone 5. To replace the battery, you need to disconnect the cable from the board with a plastic spatula. Next, use the same spatula to pry up the battery and pull the plastic tab (on the iPhone 5s, Apple abandoned this label). We extract battery and we replace it.

The battery in the iPhone 5s can be removed immediately after disconnecting the Touch ID cable and the cable connecting the battery to motherboard without completely removing the screen unit.

Next, we proceed to dismantling the motherboard. However, there is no significant difference between the iPhone 5 and iPhone 5s. To do this, you need to disconnect the antenna connector module from the motherboard, which is located at the bottom. The next step is to unscrew the screw securing the board to the case. After that, at the top of the smartphone we find the screws that attach the contacts to the inner wall of the iPhone 5 case. We unscrew them. Motherboard completely free, it can be removed.

If necessary, you can disconnect the camera by unscrewing 2 screws. If it was damaged or faulty, repair or replace it.

Next, we continue dismantling the lower module, which includes a headphone jack, earpiece, lower microphone, Wi-Fi antenna and a Lightning connector. This is not difficult to do, but it will require some effort, since the entire structure is secured with glue. You can also disconnect the Lightning connector if there is any problem with it and replace it.

Our friends from the MacPlus service center are constantly preparing materials for us on how to correctly carry out certain actions to repair your beloved Apple technology. This time the craftsmen managed to disassemble last generation iPhone - iPhone 5. Step-by-step instruction already here.

To maintain our high level of repairing Apple equipment, we buy new products almost immediately after entering the market and disassemble them. 5 was no exception.

What is needed for analysis:

  • Pentalobe screwdriver, just like for iPhone 4s (can't help but rejoice)
  • Suction cup for lifting the screen
  • Small Phillips screwdriver
  • Spatula
  • Accuracy and nerves of steel (after all, the device costs a lot)

So, the subject is ready for analysis, let's get started.

First of all, unscrew the external Pentalobe screws with a screwdriver. Nothing new.

We take the suction cup and lift the screen. Here we include attentiveness and accuracy. Most likely, when you first disassemble it, you will need to pry off the display with something thin, but you can scratch the aluminum.

Unscrew the screws for protecting/fastening the cables.

Disconnect all cables and antenna connectors and remove the display. When working with cables, it is better to use a plastic spatula.

We unscrew another cable protection - this time in the middle of the motherboard.

During any analysis, the first step is to disconnect the battery. You won’t be able to do this right away on the fifth iPhone, so let’s turn it off now.

We remove the battery. It is glued to the body, so you need to pry it off with a spatula.

We've reached the motherboard. First, unscrew the two screws securing the camera.

We disconnect the cable for the speaker, microphone, headphone output and Lightning connector (the so-called “Tsar-Cable”).

Disconnect the antenna cable.

Disconnect the cables connecting the motherboard and the back panel (at the top of the panel).

Almost everything is ready to remove the motherboard. We disconnect the cables that are in the way and unscrew the 5 screws.

Carefully remove the motherboard.

Ta-dam! The motherboard is disconnected from the back panel.

On the motherboard, unscrew the two screws from the camera protection and disconnect the camera.

This is what it looks like motherboard without other details. Slightly reminiscent of 4s.

Unscrew the three screws holding the vibration and disconnect it. The vibration, again, is very similar to the one that was in the 3gs, 4 and 4s.

Unscrew two screws next to the headphone jack and one on the right side of the bottom cable.

Unscrew the remaining 4 screws of the lower cable and remove it.

Analysis completed!

I would like to say what's inside new iPhone is a kind of synthesis of 3g/3gs and 4/4s. It's much easier to disassemble than the previous model, so it probably won't be very expensive to repair the iPhone 5. You can always purchase spare parts and repair your iPhone 5 at Service center MacPlus!
