Track a registered letter without a tracking number. Russian Post parcel tracking. Russian Post parcel tracking

Russian Post - how to find out where the package is

One of the most proven and simple methods find out where your parcel is through Russian Post - this is tracking of postal items by item number.

To find out where this or that product is being shipped, recipients and senders need a bill of lading number or a tracking number, or a short TTN. The sender receives such data when registering documents at the branch. The declaration consists of 11 or 14 numbers, which are shown in the upper left corner of the document. These numbers are entered into the column called “Tracking Number”, and click “Track”. And within 2 minutes the exact location of the product of interest is known.

This is not possible when the transfer is sent from branches. Such branches are located in small towns and do not have their own base. This is the main reason that the shipment will take place in 2-3 days, and so will the registration.

Immediately after it gets to the department that has its own database, it will be registered. Only after completing this procedure is it assigned special number, and then it is allowed to find out the location.

Use our convenient tool and track the location of your mail.

International shipment tracking

International shipments are serviced by the Russian Post International group. A young service that tries to serve clients as comfortably as possible for each of them. When sending, the sender receives a tracking number. If available, they will know where the cargo is at any stage of delivery. Abroad, delivery from this company is carried out by courier into the hands of the addressee.

Everyone can try to use the international service and feel that the world is, in fact, much closer.

Which shipments can be tracked?

Modern senders send everything, literally. It could be:

Even vehicles can be sent by Russian Post. But this is not the entire list of possible assortments. In addition, the person will have a declaration in his hands, with the help of which it is not a problem to find out the exact location of the cargo. And you can do this without leaving your home, as long as you have a computer and access to the Internet.

How to track a parcel by recipient's last name

You can receive and track it exclusively via TTN. We recommend checking the details with the sender. If this is not possible, and the express waybill number is lost, no need to worry! It is worth contacting the nearest department, where they will quickly restore the TTN number. To renew, a company employee will require a passport and phone number.

It is impossible to track the exact location of the parcel without a tracking number. You can, of course, use services like waitpost, but it’s not a fact that your parcel will be confused with someone else’s, because everything is processed manually, so the information about the parcel may be incorrect. Therefore, to be on the safe side, it is better to order goods from abroad with a tracking number. Although I constantly order without it and do not track anything, and all parcels are delivered.

I believe that it will be problematic to track your parcel without a track number, since all parcels go through a lot of preliminary shipments that you can’t keep up with. For example, when I didn’t know my parcel number, I called the post office and asked them to find my parcel by name. The good postal employees made me happy that the parcel arrived. But maybe I was just lucky with the staff.

I'm afraid that without a track number it will not be possible to track the parcel. After all, all sites for tracking postal items require a track number, which is assigned to the parcel when it is sent. It is this number that must be entered in a special line to search for the parcel. Without knowing the track number, there will be nothing to enter in the search line. Therefore, you just need to wait for trackless parcels and trust that they will arrive)

I don't think so. All you have to do is wait and check Mailbox to the notification for the parcel that appears. And so the tracking code is given to each parcel when it is sent. Waiting becomes much easier, especially when you are waiting for a parcel from afar or from abroad.

For the second time I send a registered letter at a local post office, they issue a check with a tracking number, when tracking via the Internet it turns out that in both cases my letters were received by mail more than a year ago and long ago delivered to the addressee, only not to the address that I indicated, but It’s not at all clear where. Although at the top of the identifier there is my address and the correct address of the recipient. In the first case it worked out, it arrived normally, although with such problems. And the last one hangs somewhere, the check was carried by a child, I can’t find it. How now track the letter?

Indeed, at first glance it may seem that track a parcel without a track number impossible. However, after scouring the Internet, this is what I found. It turns out that there is a website called Waiting for Parcels, where you can track parcels not only those whose track number is known, but also those whose track number is unknown to the recipient of the parcel. Here you can find parcels sent not only from China (today more and more Russians are ordering goods directly from Chinese sellers), but also from

    • Belarus
    • Israel
    • Germany
    • Kazakhstan
    • Belgium
    • Spain
    • Italy
    • Canada
    • Turkey
    • Lithuania
    • Latvia
    • Portugal
    • Thailand
    • Ukraine
    • Finland and other countries.

In addition, here you can also find out information based on the results of the day, how many parcels left the sender’s country, arrived in the recipient’s country, how many were handed over to customs and released by it,

how many parcels were delivered and how many were returned to the sender.

There are two options - use sites like this one, where information is updated, but based on the statistics of the senders or recipients themselves. And the second option is to find out the exact address of the sender, then on the Russian Post website see what the target delivery time for the parcel from this city to your city is. For example, a parcel takes 10 days from Moscow to Perm. After this period has expired, you can safely contact your Russian Post office with your passport and ask whether the long-awaited parcel has arrived.

IN Lately More and more people are making purchases through online stores in China, the USA, Europe and other countries. Tracking parcels that were sent by online stores via postal services is possible using a tracking number. If there is no tracking number, it is probably impossible to track the location of the parcel.

I think without a number identifier you still can’t do it, so most likely you will need to contact the post office where the shipment was made. And there, based on your passport data, they will tell you that very treasured mail ID. Next, look at the website.

A track number is not issued to every parcel, but only to a registered one or with a declared value. Those who decide to save money on this matter are not assigned a postal ID. And without it it is impossible to obtain information, at least at the office. Russian Post website. I don't know any other ways.

A track number must be assigned to each parcel upon dispatch. It's unclear from your question why it doesn't have a track number. If this is a package sent by a private person, ask the person who sent it to find out the ID in post office where I sent it. But, most likely, we are talking about the delivery of any order made through an online store, with free delivery, in the absence of a track number to minimize the seller’s postal costs. In this case, by placing such an order and agreeing to such conditions, you initially assume the risk. Therefore, just be patient and wait, but such a parcel cannot be tracked.

Tracking the location of a parcel without a track number is an almost impossible task. After all, in order to receive information about your parcel, you need to enter certain data in the cargo search field, in this case the track number.

The tracking number is very convenient, especially now when people make a huge number of orders via the Internet. Thanks to it, you can find out when the parcel left the point of departure, when it arrives at the destination, where it is located this moment, how much does delivery cost, etc. Also, some services provide a notification function via SMS.

Russian Post tracking

Russian Post tracks both parcels sent within the Russian Federation and international shipments, including EMS express mail. Domestic Russian Post shipments are tracked using a 14-digit track code, the first six digits indicating the sender's postal code. International shipments of Russian Post begin and end with 2 letters, the first two indicate the type of parcel, and the last two indicate the sender's country.

How to track a parcel in Russia?

Tracking a Russian Post parcel in the Russian Federation is quite simple. In order to start tracking your parcel, you need to have the parcel tracking code on hand. Russian Post tracks shipments using 14-digit slate tracking codes for domestic parcels and 13-digit codes for international parcels. To quickly and easily track your Russian Post parcel, enter the parcel's track number in the field above and BoxTracker will check your parcel and determine its location.

How to find a parcel by Russian Post tracking number

Russian Post parcels are located at postal number tracking. Domestic tracking numbers contain 14 digits, starting with the postal code of the sender or the department that issued the package. For example, if the parcel was sent from Moscow from the Russian Post office on Shelepikhinskaya Embankment with the index 123290, then the departure code will look like 12329000000000. International parcels processed by Russian Post can be tracked using a standardized 13 digit code, typical for international shipments for postal services around the world. The first two letters indicate the type of item, then 9 unique digits of the item, and the last two letters indicate the sender's country code.

Parcel tracking ZA..LV, ZA..HK

This type of parcel differs from other international shipments in that these parcels are handled using a simplified system thanks to the cooperation of Russian Post with the most popular internet store of Russian citizens - Aliexpress. Thanks to this cooperation, the procedure for registering parcels with Aliexpress has been simplified, making shipment faster and cheaper. Such parcels have tracking codes like ZA000000000LV, ZA000000000HK.

Parcel tracking ZJ..HK

Parcels with a tracking code starting with ZJ are parcels of purchases made by Russians from the Joom online store. Just as in the case of Aliexpress, Joom entered into a partnership with Russian Post, thereby reducing the cost of delivering parcels with Joom, as well as significantly speeding up the shipping process itself from registration to delivery time.

When tracking, Joom parcels can have one of three statuses:

  • Package sent
  • The parcel arrived at the office
  • The parcel has been received by the addressee

Tracking parcels from China

Postal parcels from China may not have complete information about the location of the parcel, however, the most important information you will have in your hands. The main stages of tracking will be available to you, and this is the most important thing. Parcels from China pass through postal centers in Latvia and Hong Kong, because of this, the letters LV and HK are assigned at the end of the track code, rather than CN.

What to do if you can’t track your parcel?

There may be several reasons why the track number may not be tracked. Most of these reasons are easily solvable, and sometimes do not require special solutions. The main reasons why a package is not tracked by track number:

  1. Not enough time has passed since the parcel was sent and the number has not yet entered the database. Sometimes it happens that the track number is not tracked until 10 days from the day the parcel was sent. The main thing here is to be patient and wait until the parcel begins to be tracked in the system.
  2. The tracking number is incorrect. In this case, you need to check the tracking number again with the seller or sender. Also check that the number is spelled correctly. You may have made a mistake when copying or typing a number on the keyboard.

In any case, you should not worry, although the reasons why the track code is not tracked are not limited to those listed, there is always a solution. As a rule, all parcels reach the addressee, and in extreme cases, you can always open a dispute in the online store and you will get your money back.

So far, my international purchases through online stores have arrived without problems. In any case, there were no questions at all regarding the delivery of parcels from iherb.com. Usually purchases arrived in 17-20 days and the tracking number was never useful. So until now, I haven’t asked myself the question of whether it’s possible to track a parcel without a tracking number if it gets stuck somewhere between Ukrposhta branches. Apparently in vain. I decided why overpay for tracking and the last few times I chose the most cheap way. That is, without a tracking number.

However, as they say, even an old woman can get screwed. Judging by the email from iherb.com, my parcel has been in Ukraine since April 10, but it is not possible to determine exactly where it has been for the last 12 days.

What can you do?

Option 1 – Ukrposhta call center

No matter how Soviet post offices look, some Internet technologies have also appeared at Ukrposhta. In particular, calling an operator directly from the browser. On any page of the Ukropochta website, an icon with an image of a telephone handset flashes on the right side of the screen. Just click on it.

They responded surprisingly quickly. And no robots or redirects, just a real person. Which, however, upset me, explaining that it is impossible to track the parcel without a tracking number. That is, NO way. The only option is to contact your post office. Suddenly the problem is not in the parcel, but in the delivery of the notice. Here, by the way, you can find out the phone number of your branch, if you remember the index.

Option 2 – call the branch immediately

To do this, you still need to find out your work number. Which turned out to be not very easy. Despite the fact that there seems to be a map on the Ukrposhta website, it works somehow sideways and does not even allow you to find the branch number at the address. I’m generally silent about phones. Thanks to the Internet for a sea of services for all occasions.

Contacts and opening hours of branches by city are on the website ukrpost.in.ua, you just need to know the exact address. Therefore, it’s worth starting with a map and checking the house number where your branch is located. Next click on the desired line and get the phone number and opening hours.

In fact, the only thing the department employee can do is check whether the package has arrived in your name. You shouldn't count on more. Here, too, they will not be able to track the parcel without a tracking number.

Option 3 - personal presence and a little blackmail

In an ideal world, if your parcel is at the post office and they can tell you about it by phone. But reality, as always, pleases with the amount of insanity. Therefore, the most effective way is to take your passport, a list of investments and a payment receipt. (Instructions for those who don’t know where to find and).

I did just that, determined in advance not to retreat and to get at least some answers. Handing my passport through the window at the post office, I mentioned that the sender had sent a notification that the parcel would be delivered to Ukraine on April 9. This is not entirely true, but as an oral argument it worked in my favor. In fact, when confirming payment, iherb.com only indicates the approximate date of receipt.

The Ukrposhta employee diligently checked the receipt logs of parcels and parcels for about 15 minutes. Then she confidently said - NO parcels.

There was nothing to lose, so I asked a “control” question: how many days after sending can I apply for a search. The employee avoided a direct answer, but the question itself had some kind of magical effect. The woman got up and went to the back room to manually check unclaimed mail...

AND OH MIRACLE! 3 minutes later she returned with my parcel))). It turns out that she came to the department even earlier than the specified date - on April 8th. No comments needed...

Naturally, if I had limited myself to a phone call to the department, the parcel would still have been quietly lying in the back room.

Option 4 – write an application to search for the parcel

There are no clear instructions on the official website about how many days after sending the parcel you can write a statement. Employees are also not very willing to discuss this issue. But on one of the forums I found a mention that Ukrposhta gives itself 60 days to deliver international items. However, you can communicate with the head of the department about searching for the parcel after 30 days. It may very well be that your package will be miraculously visualized)).

To start looking for the “lost thing”, go to the department better prepared. The questions and answers section on the Ukrposhta website contains the following documents:

- Receipt of payment (copy/original). If you're paying online, you'll need to print an invoice from online banking or find a receipt on the merchant's website. It is better to print in two copies;

— order details:

  • Category. Depending on the weight, international postal items (IPO) are divided into “parcels” weighing from 2 kg and “small packages” weighing less than 2 kg;
  • List of attachments;
  • Sender and recipient addresses;
  • Name (in my case International Airmail) and type of delivery (air or ground).

All this from iherb.com comes to email immediately after sending. All that remains is to print.

- passport. This is logical and you are unlikely to forget it)));

— 2 copies of passport! (nobody mentions them, and the post office, as a rule, refuses to make photocopies). You need to photocopy the 1st and 2nd pages + registration.

Why can't you track a parcel without a tracking number?

Parcels without a tracking number are called unregistered, that is, when they arrive at the Ukrainian Post Office from customs, they do not have their own identifier. Of course, the department assigns an internal number to such a shipment, but no one will tell you it. This is proprietary information that is used solely for internal records.

Obviously, now the question “is it worth paying extra for a track number” becomes rhetorical for me. Of course, tracking will not make the parcel go faster, but the track number solves several problems:

  1. Gives information about the status of your order. This calms me down a little, even if there are delays in delivery)).
  2. Controls the work of Ukrposhta and other courier services. Still, it’s much more pleasant to make a scandal when you have evidence in hand. And the track number will allow you to poke your nose and specifically indicate the compartment in which your parcel was last seen.

Depending on the cost and value of the ordered product on eBay, there are two types of shipments - registered (with a track number) and unregistered (without a track number). A track number (ebay parcel tracking number) costs additional money and is not assigned to cheap shipments, because... It is simply not profitable for sellers of small items for a dollar or less to send parcels this way - the cost of the track “eats up” all their profit from the sale.

How can I find out if my parcel will have a track number?

When choosing a product, carefully read its description - if it contains the words track number, the seller sends the parcels with a track; if not, there will most likely be no tracking number. In any case, if it is important for you to track the movement of your parcel, you can ask the seller to send it with a tracking number. You will have to pay extra for this service: $2 for shipments from China, $3 from Singapore and $13 from the USA.

This must be done before the order has been shipped. It is better to negotiate with the seller before placing the order.

How to find out eBay parcel number

After the order has been sent (its status on eBay has changed), go to the order details ( My eBay -> Purchase History) and look at the line Tracking Number– the track number of your shipment must be indicated there.

If the number is not specified, contact the seller, specify by what mail the parcel was sent and what tracking number was assigned to it.

Be careful - you can only track your parcel using a track number consisting of an alphanumeric combination, including 4 letters and 9 numbers (FT123456789CN). No order numbers, reserve numbers, or parcel serial numbers on Ebay are suitable for tracking. The track number becomes active 3-5 days after sending.

Please note that there are two types of track numbers - internal, issued to record the fact of departure and are not tracked after the parcel leaves the country of departure, and international - this is a single parcel number along the entire route from the sender to the recipient. Check with the seller exactly what tracking number he gave you.

How to track a parcel from eBay.

In order to track your parcel from eBay, check with the seller what mail your order was sent by. Go to the website of the carrier company or the website of the postal service and enter the tracking number issued by the seller in the appropriate field. A table will appear under the field with the status of your order, the date it was assigned this or that status, and additional information– about the place of dispatch and destination of the specified order.

Where to track a parcel from eBay

If the parcel is located in the sending country (it was sent several days ago), you can track it on the website of the postal service to which the order was sent.

As soon as the parcel leaves the sending country (Export status, or Departure From Outward Office of Exchange), after a few days you can continue tracking on the website of your country's postal service.

How long does it take to send a package from eBay?

How long to wait for a package from eBay depends on which country the shipment is coming from and what time of year you placed the order. Parcels from China to Russia usually arrive in 4-8 weeks, from America to Russia faster, but across Russia it can still take quite a long time. Courier services(EMS) work even faster; a parcel from eBay can be received in 2 weeks with home delivery.

All parcels are delayed for days big holidays and before the New Year.

What to do, if…

If your package is sent without a tracking number, please note the date indicated by the seller as the approximate delivery time (Delivery: Estimated between Aug.22 and Aug.23). If the parcel has not arrived by this time, write to the seller.

If the product has not arrived within 40 days from the date of dispatch, be sure to contact the seller and ask him for a refund. If he doesn't agree, you can open a dispute on eBay or PayPal. Please note that sometimes the parcel still arrives even after 3-4 months on the way. If the seller has returned your money and the package has arrived, inform the seller about this and transfer him money for the arrived goods.

Happy shopping!
