Hi all. today I will talk about a program that can easily increase FPS in any game, even on a weak computer! More precisely, there will be 2 programs - for Nvidia and AMD/ATI video cards. The programs allow you to perform deep settings on the video card driver and disable everything that can affect the increase in FPS in games. Download the archive using the download button. Inside the archive there will be 2 folders for Nvidia and AMD/ATI video cards. Depending on what video card you have installed, unzip the desired folder and run or install the program you need. If you don’t know what video card you have, you can download the program and find out through it. I'll show you everything in more detail in my video about FPS increase.

Setting up the program for NVIDIA video cards

After unzipping the program, run the file "nvidiaInspector.exe". I recommend running the program as an administrator. Next, find the Driver Version line and click on the icon at the end of the line.

The NVIDIA Profile Inspector application will launch. In it you can select settings for all games or only those with low FPS. In the application we are most interested in a few lines:

• Antialiasing - Transparency Supersamling. Set the value to AA_MODE_REPLAY_MODE_ALL
• Texture filtering - LOD Bias (DX). We set any value +, the more + the worse the textures in the game will be but there will be more FPS.

Increasing FPS for AMD\ATI video cards

After unzipping the program, run the file “attsetup.exe”, install the program, do not touch any checkboxes. After installation, launch the program. I want to write right away that the program is old and does not work on Windows 10, on more old Windows works fine. Next you do this:

How to find out FPS in a game?

Downloading the Fraps installation file takes a few seconds - the file size is only 2.2 MB. The next step in downloading and running Fraps is to activate the above file and follow the prompts from the standard setup wizard. The program has the following tabs:

• General – enable or disable several general parameters, such as enabling Fraps on startup, keeping the Fraps window above other applications;

To access all the features offered by Fraps, you only need to press the assigned hotkeys. By default, you can take a screenshot by pressing the F10 hotkey. If you check the "Repeat screen capture every 10 seconds" checkbox, Fraps will continue to take screenshots until F10 is pressed again. If screenshots are not enough and you need to record a video, use hotkey F9. Fraps will start recording based on the specified video capture settings. For Fraps to do its job, it needs to be running in the background. You need to increase FPS mainly in games. This concept is often confused so that it is called “reduce FPS”. In fact, this indicator needs to be increased.
Why exactly increase? This comes from the very concept of FPS, namely the number of frames per second. Accordingly, the more frames per second that are displayed to you, the smoother the game (and the picture as a whole) will be.
The FPS increase is similar to what is described in the article. Ping also affects the speed of image display, but it has more to do with the speed of the Internet, and the FPS is the performance of the computer and the system as a whole, but now more about all this...

However, you need to configure the game so that the picture is worse. As already written above, you need to sacrifice picture quality in order to play without “lags” and “brakes”.
I advise you to pay attention to the resolution settings and make it smaller. Although it will turn out that everything in the game will become “squares” and of the same type, you will also notice that the speed of the game has increased.

5) Configure Windows.

The setting is to reduce the load on system performance.
The first thing you need to do is disable and close unnecessary applications. For example, and everything else.
After all, the more programs are open, the more resources are allocated to them and the less is left for the game in which you have a low FPS.

You can also go to Start -> Control Panel -> System (or RMB on “My Computer” -> Properties) and in Additional options Performance install Best fast action.

This will remove all visual effects of the system. The view will turn out to be very ancient, but the OS will not waste resources on them.

You can also try disabling some services, but this rarely helps.
