468×60

Canada is perhaps one of the most beautiful countries in North America... I say this because I myself live in Russia, and in some ways these countries are similar. But aren't all our thoughts subjective? But, this article will primarily focus on the state post of Canada, this undoubtedly most beautiful country (below is photo evidence of beauty, namely the Valley of the Ten Peaks :))

Canada Post, working and delivery conditions

If you buy something abroad, you probably already know that you need to use the services, since duty-free import into Russia in such a case will be 1000 euros. This is only possible if the parcel arrives at Russian Post, and not through any other courier service. In the case of Canada Post, postal items in most cases go straight to our Russian Post.

Let's take a closer look at the prices and shipping methods of this postal service. Well, how can you find out about prices, terms and delivery methods of foreign mail? Of course, via the Internet, to do this you need to go to the canadapost ca website.

Choose English or French, whichever is more convenient for you, and move on. On the start page we are immediately prompted to enter the tracking number and find out where the parcel is located. But it’s too early to do this, especially since all this information can be found on our website :).

In order to find out the cost of sending parcels or parcels using, you need to go to the tab Find a Rate:

Here you need to select your destination country Destination, sender's index, in our case I choose Zhanna's index, from the previous article. Next we set the dimensions Dimensions, let's say it's an iPhone. Press the button FIND, after which information about possible delivery methods appears:

Canada Post Shipping Types

Let's take a closer look at the delivery types and choose the most optimal one for us.

  1. Priority™ Worldwide pak- this delivery method is the fastest of all, but there is only one problem, it is carried out by FedEx and, as a result, duty-free import is only 200 euros. That's why it doesn't suit us.
  2. International Parcel - Air- the most common way to send purchases from Canada by air mail. Delivery time to Russia is about 7 days, the item goes to Russian Post and, as a result, is eligible for duty-free import of 1000 euros. Fast, convenient, profitable, and most optimal.
  3. International Parcel - Surface- ground delivery method. It differs from the previous method only in the delivery method, that is, by land and sea, as a result the delivery time increases significantly. The cost is a little cheaper. The parcel also arrives at Russian Post. This method is convenient for saving money and not saving time.
  4. Small Packet™ - International Air— as the name suggests, the method is suitable for sending small parcels and letters by air mail. Arrives at the Russian Post Office.
  5. Small Packet™ - International Surface - a way for the most patient and most economical buyers, small parcels and letters by land and sea. If you are not in a hurry and extremely save money, then this is your choice. Arrives at the Russian Post Office.

As you probably noticed, among the above methods, there is not a single one that would allow delivery to EMS Russian Post, whether it is good or bad for you to judge, for me, EMS Russian Post is not very different from Russian Post, despite all the advertising videos.

Tracking postal items from Canada is possible on our website; to do this, simply enter the tracking number and click the appropriate button.

At all Canada Post is not distinguished by mega-cheap prices for its services, apparently due to the not very developed Internet trade, compared to its neighbor the United States, and low competition. But one way or another, it works stably, quickly and reliably, and as long as the parcel has not reached the territory of the Russian Federation, you don’t have to worry about it :) Yes, I almost forgot, I strongly recommend that you insure all shipments, the costs are minimal, and the risks, albeit not immediately, are covered!

Have a successful and safe online shopping in Canada; this country, like no other, is similar in climate to our former USSR, and as a result, you can find many useful and warm acquisitions in it!

If you enter the tracking number in the search bar and click on the “Find by track number” button.

Canada Post is the government postal service of Canada, providing delivery of international mail and domestic correspondence for individuals and legal entities. It also provides express postal services and delivers EMS items. Delivery rates for EMS shipments from Canada Post will be higher, but this is justified by the high delivery speed.

We can list two types of general prohibitions and restrictions that are characteristic of all postal services: by weight and size and by content. The official Canada Post website has all the necessary information. The available types of shipments, as well as possible restrictions on the shipment of goods, also depend on the recipient’s country.

Types of Canada Post Tracking Numbers

EMS shipments and parcels are always assigned a tracking number by Canada Post. Small packages may be unregistered and may not be tracked.

The Canada Post tracking number format looks like this:

  • For small packages weighing up to 2 kg – Rx123456785CA;
  • For parcels weighing from 2 to 20 kg – Cx123456785CA;
  • For EMS shipments – Ex123456785CA.

The 13-digit track number is encrypted: the type of item is in the first letter, the uniqueness of the number is confirmed by the second letter and all numbers. The last two letters indicate the country of the postal service, for example RU is Russian Post, US is US Post, etc.

Canada Post tracking

In order not to worry about your shipment from Canada and roughly understand where it is currently, you can track your parcel on the website with a Russian translation of all tracking statuses.

The sender can receive a tracking number for tracking a Canada Post postal item upon checkout at the post office. Or register the parcel remotely. But we must remember that electronic registration does not guarantee that the sender will send the parcel. In the first case, the physical transfer of the item occurs immediately, so information about the number of the postal item is entered into the tracking system very quickly and the recipient can immediately see the status of acceptance of the IPO for shipment.

Canada Post Corporation, known more simply as Canada Post (French: Societe canadienne des postes, or simply Postes Canada), is the crown corporation which functions as the country's primary postal operator. Originally known as Royal Mail Canada (the operating name of the Post Office Department of the Canadian government founded in 1867), rebranding was done to the "Canada Post" name in the late 1960s, even though it had not yet been separated from the government On October 16, 1981, the Canada Post Corporation.
