The appearance of this keyboard went almost unnoticed, because all the attention of the press was focused on the Bashkir keyboard, which we released at the same time. This is understandable, since Bashkir was released on Android for the first time, and similar Tatar applications already exist. We also created a Tatar autosubstitution dictionary (you could see similar English and Russian ones in Android itself). The application is free.

For the first time on Android
This keyboard is released on the platform of the well-known Jbak keyboard program; it is fundamentally different from similar developments in that it completely replaces the standard one. That is, you can use it inside any other program. Moreover, Android devices are much cheaper than those on iOS. Installing the application is easy and it is very customizable.
Automatic dictionary
One of the most important elements of this keyboard is the Tatar auto-substitution dictionary, containing more than 50,000 words. When you enter part of a word, the program suggests the most frequently used words in the modern language. One of the important goals of this layout was to please bilingual users. Therefore, this layout is compatible with the Russian YTSUKEN. If you often write in Russian, you won't have to constantly switch between Ru and Tt. It will be enough to enable English and Tatar layouts.
Every resident of the Republic of Tatarstan, regardless of his nationality, one way or another, encounters the Tatar language in his life. Someone else learns the Tatar language at school, someone communicates closely with Tatar friends, others have to answer Tatar letters, and someone studies the Tatar language on their own. There is no need to mention the Tatars at all - the Tatar language is necessary for them like water.
This article is not devoted to learning the Tatar language, it is about how to use the Tatar language on a computer. How to install a Tatar keyboard, or rather a Tatar layout, on a computer? Which keys contain Tatar letters? How can you quickly type Tatar texts without changing the language? Tatar keyboard
Most users resort to Windows systems 7 and Windows XP. In order to install the standard Tatar language on these systems, you only need to do a few things: simple actions (approx. by: exist special programs to translate the keyboard into the Tatar language, for example, one of them is “Җәһәт”. There is an easier way to install the Tatar keyboard. To do this, right-click on “ Language bar” (“RU”), which is located in the lower right corner of the screen. Select “Options” and go to the “Languages and text input services” window. Now all that remains is to select and add a language!

The arrangement of Tatar letters (Cyrillic) is based on the Russian keyboard. When you type in Tatar, you will have to press keys that are used relatively rarely. By Microsoft solution Tatar letters are arranged as shown below:
- The letter Ә on the Ш key;
- The letter Ө on the C key;
- The letter Y on the b key;
- The letter Җ on the b key;
- The letter Ң on the Ж key;
- The letter Һ on the E key.
If you need to use these Russian letters in the text, you do not need to change the layout: they should be written by pressing the “Ctrl” and “Alt” keys simultaneously. For example, to type the letter “zh”, press “Ctrl+Alt+zh” at the same time.
For some, writing in Tatar will seem strange, for others it may be difficult. We don’t know about you, but it’s more convenient and pleasant for us to write “ani” instead of “eni”, “өrәңge” (maple) instead of “orange”, type texts and communicate in Tatar. If we didn’t know how to do this, or we didn’t like it, we wouldn’t be able to convey the idea of this article to you.
