Instructions for the Mi Fit application in Russian. How to install and configure the “Mi Fit” program in Xiaomi smartphones Installing Mi Fit and registering an account

Today, there are many gadgets and accessories that are collaborations with Xiaomi or entire devices of the company. Xiaomi specialists understand that for greater convenience for a user who has two or more devices of their brand, it is necessary to combine all systems into one. That's what they did! Synchronization occurs using special applications. In this manual, we will look at how to use the “Mi Fit” application (the official program from the developer Xiaomi Technology) by combining your smartphone with a fitness bracelet.

In order to download the application, you need to go to Google Play, enter “Mi Fit” in the search bar, click the “Install” button, wait for the application to download and install.

Open the application, click on the “Login” button, accept the terms and conditions and log into your Mi account (read more about creating an account here).

After successful login, set the parameters of your Mi account:

· Year and month of birth

*We also set the desired number of steps per day and allow the application to connect to Bluetooth.

Next, we are asked to select the device that needs to be associated with the application. Currently, Xiaomi offers bracelets, watches, scales and sneakers.

Let us remind you that we have a Mi Band 2 fitness tracker. Using it as an example, we will consider setting up synchronization. But the user must select his own version of the bracelet.

As soon as we select “Bracelet”, the search for the device automatically begins. Then press the button on the bracelet to activate it. The smartphone itself searches for the tracker, and you only confirm that its actions are correct.

It then displays a message that the binding is complete and redirects to the setup page. Most likely, after binding, the smartphone will check for updates and, if any, update. To do this, you must have an active Internet connection on your phone and follow the recommendations displayed on the smartphone screen. We also note that to successfully connect the bracelet to a smartphone, you must have a device with at least the following characteristics: Bluetooth LE, Android 4.4, IOS 7.

Now you can fully use the purchased Xiaomi ecosystem device. The application will help you track the number of steps taken, monitor your heart rate and sleep. You can also set up application notifications, incoming calls, messages, alarms, and screen unlocking using the bracelet. And in the “Profile” tab you can set up your personal account, adjust activity goals, set up updates, and set the units of measurement used.

We wish you a pleasant and useful use!

Our detailed instructions will help you set up and connect the Xiaomi Mi Band 2 fitness bracelet, and also explain how to use it in conjunction with the Mi Fit application.

This elegant sports bracelet is designed for sports enthusiasts and fitness beginners. With it, you can track your heart rate, calories burned, distance traveled, and sleep quality. All data can be synchronized with your phone and analyzed in the mobile application, which will help you plan the time and intensity of exercise.

How to assemble

Assembly is not difficult at all. You need to insert the module into the silicone strap. The company in its instructions recommends doing this from the back of the bracelet. Otherwise, you will stretch the cell, as a result of which the tracker will fall out of it over time during active hand movements.

How to turn it on/off

Mi Band 2 turns on by pressing a single button on the display. Since the tracker understands gestures, to view the data on the screen, you just need to lift it. You need to set up this function through the Mi Fit mobile application (see how to connect).

Go to the Profile menu, select Mi Band 2 from the devices, then move the slider to activate in the “Touch Efficiency” item. In this case, the “View information” item must be activated.

By default, when you unpack the product, the tracker is already enabled. But if this is not the case, you need to charge it. The display will turn on automatically.

There is no way to turn off Mi Band 2. Some users wait until the gadget is completely discharged to turn it off. Remember that completely discharging the gadget leads to a subsequent deterioration in the performance of its battery. Try to charge it without letting it discharge to zero.

How to charge

You can charge the bracelet from your computer using the charger included in the kit. To do this, you need to remove the tracker from the bracelet and install it tightly into a special cell on the cable.

HOW TO CONNECT XIAOMI MI BAND 2 TO AN ANDROID SMARTPHONE OR iPhone

The bracelet itself will not work. It is connected to a PC, tablet, and most often, to a smartphone via the Mi Fit application.

If you are a Windows Phone owner, you need to deal with the Bind Mi Band mobile program. But we will talk about a program that is suitable for Android or iOS smartphones.

Android 4.4 or iOS 7 and newer versions are suitable for operation. There must also be a Bluetooth 4.0 LE module to connect the smartphone with the tracker.

In our instructions we used the Mi Fit 3.0.1 application.

At the top of the page there is a large circle, the so-called status, in the center of which the number of steps you have taken, as well as the distance and calories burned, is displayed. By clicking on it, you will be taken to a detailed overview of this data: statistics for today and the last 30 days.

The Statistics section itself provides the following information.

Unfortunately, despite the fact that the smart bracelet can distinguish the stages of sleep, the company has deprived its users of waking up using a smart alarm clock. It's not in the tracker. But you can install it using third-party software.

How to measure heart rate on Xiaomi Mi Band 2

There is no automatic heart rate measurement in Mi Band 2. To calculate your heart rate, you need to call up the required menu item with the touch button, and also try to remain motionless for more accurate data. The tracker screen will display the number of beats per minute, but the numbers will not be saved. In this case, you need to use the Mi Fit application and the path Statistics -> Pulse -> Measure. The number of heartbeats can be remembered.

During running and intense training, you will not be able to measure your heart rate. Only in a static position and during sleep, turning on the Sleep Assistant function.

Smartphone camera control

With Mi Band 2, controlling the camera on your smartphone becomes even easier. In order to take a selfie using the gadget button on your hand, you need to use two applications pre-installed on your phone.

The first is with which you need to take pictures, and the second is Mi Band 2 Selfie, which allows the wearable device to use its button as a remote control for the camera of a mobile device.

When starting the latter, you need to enter the MAC, then click the “connect” button. In this case, the “disconnect” button should appear: this means that the connection was successful and the smart bracelet will vibrate.

Open Free Camera in your phone and press the button on Mi Band 2.

If the software does not work for any reason, you need to turn Bluetooth off and on again on your phone. Some users fail to connect their gadget the first time. You may have to do this up to 3-4 times.

Mi Band 2 can also switch music on your smartphone's player. This feature is available thanks to the free Mi Band 2 Func Button application from the Google Play store, which you can download to your mobile gadget.

This software will give access to various additional functions that are activated by pressing the bracelet button once, twice or three times, as well as by turning the wrist. And among these additions there is control of the music player, including switching tracks, pausing, selecting and starting music.

As the program's name suggests, it deals with a variety of functions associated with pressing a button on a wearable device on your wrist. It has a lot of settings related not only to music, but also to the timer, vibration, reset and acceptance of incoming calls, alarm sound and volume control.

The interface is intuitive, the main thing is to take the time to figure out what's what.

Conclusion

For a fitness bracelet with such a low price, it's quite a comprehensive device with the ability to connect to a smartphone to provide more detailed information.

Beautiful, lightweight and comfortable to wear with a huge selection of interchangeable straps in different colors, this bracelet has protection against dust and water IP67, which does not force you to take it off every time you wash your hands or take a shower. And the function of displaying various information on its screen is one of the useful features for users who do not want to miss a single notification from social networks or email, but at the same time do not take their smartphone out of their bag.

We hope that our instructions helped you configure the Xiaomi Mi Band 2 correctly. If you have anything to add, write in the comments. Feedback and experience with this inexpensive but feature-rich device are also welcome.
